Nope pause the video at 1:48 you see his hand like how he forms chidori a piercing like hand wtf is all the denial about you can even see the clear picture in canon in the manga he tanked it in canon so idk what's hard to believe here
It was a box/swipe that connected and had an activated chidori.
Yes naruto tanked it (anyone else and that could have done some serious damage) however obviously naruto was knocked some distance sideways and flew/fell into the river.
Naruto has always beem knkwn for his reserves of Chakra (being an Uzumaki) and later being known to have inherited the Yang Element (Body) so why would it surprise if he can tank some attacks? Doesnt surprise me. He didnt have killing intent either, however that said we can clearly see that there were so much more moves both he AND sasuke could have done. Bearing in mind narutos sage mode. Bearing in mind sasukes FULL Rinnegan abilities.
Sasuke was more than capable of winning and his fighting style is more refined, however the whole point is that naruto represents finding the Light and saving his friend, so yes in the process he was forced to tank some attacks; but was blatantly fodderised by others
