Brittish vs American accent in a nutshell

I feel like the Brittish feels more adult, mature. Men sound more autoritarian and women sound like ladies.
The American accent feels "younger'. Men sound like young boys that have much to learn and girls sound sexy.

My friend's mom travels to England pretty often and they always describe our accent as "singing." Like to them, it sounds like we're singing all the time.

I mean for the most part I agree, British accents are classy as ****. But I can't really compare it to my own accent, considering I'm American.

I personally think the American accent sounds much more better than the British having being a Jamaican who watched alot of american tv I feel closer to their culture more than british also I think the Jamaican accent and American accent ties in terms of coolness but the bristish accent I just(boring) cant take it (I live UK btw).

I am British and I can tell you for the most part that the typical accent is not nice.

I don't know if you guys know, but there are loads of different British accents and some are as coarse as they come (Yorkshire, Geordie, Brummie).

The "typical" British accent as the rest of the world would know doesn't exist and every time I see an American film/programme portray as such, I want to stab the producers and claw their eyes out.

I hate UK actors cause of their accent. Though Idris elba does turn his accent off in most shows I've seen of his.

Brit accents sound like they're talking fast with water in their mouths. Can't understand it sometimes and I honestly turn on the subtitles for shows or movies that have the accent
