Why? Why will there be a break again?!

The comments will be the same again, like he's a good artist give him the time and he works
already so much of his time, I've heard them all before, but come one

If he really works that much at it, then howcome his manga is like EVERY month on a break since
april last year when he got badly sick

the anime is already catching up, you would expect he'd try to avoid more breaks, but no every month it's the same
Naruto and Bleach aren't on break that much and they've become more intense lately with the need of a lot drawings as well (Bleach maybe less but still)

Is there a good reason that it's going on break?

it said the series would take a break next issue but its only for one week

Altho it is kinda bad news for the anime since its basicly dragging out the chapters as is adding alot of stupid fillers and this will only make it worse...

Shame too since this arc can be one of the best in the series but with all the drawn out moments it just wont feel like it in the anime

Dude, by know you should know that Oda doens't take 9/10 breaks, they are issued by the magazine.

Besides when he is on break he isn't sitting on a beach under a coconut tree, he is still working on One Piece, doing research, coloring panels, having to do other OP related stuff.

That’s a 21 hour working day, mind you. Asked about whether or not he ever takes time off, Oda replied "I have no days off. If I had them, I’d want to go on vacation with my family. I just want to go outside, it doesn’t matter where. See, I don’t get out much."

Oda works week after week, day and night, and does everything he can to give us readers our source of energy, chapters of his life work. I don't know any of you guys, but I'm sure he works more than any of us, at least most of us, and here you are complaining that you don't get chapters every single week, that you don't even have to pay for. At least show some respect.

He was working in the freaking hospital give him a break and stop complaining, most of the time Op has twice the content of Naruto or Bleach, it's completely packed with stuff,there's also research,mcoloring, meetings

Go watch Bakuman and keep in mind that there you have two mangaka working together on a series not nearly as demanding as OP

Besides, ITS WORK HE LOVES TO DO AND SHOULD STILL FEEL LIKE A HOBBY TO HIM, Writers and editors have the same problem

You're talking like i don't know anything, but I do know and I also know that a break each month is too much. I'm sure he still has time off, you can't take interviews that serious, journalists aren't that thrustworthy... That's a known fact and who knows, maybe he bragged in the interview

I really respect his work and am glad it gets updated every week for free, but come on, a break each month, that's just a bit over the edge
You're all saying like i'm a brute guy who only wants him to work for my own pleasure, jeezes what kind of sick people are you if you immediatly start someone scolding like that? Of course he can have breaks, but there's just been a 2 week break with new year, and in december there was another break, and every month before that

(and don't start about the hospital thing, that was like 8 months ago, he should've been recovered by now)

for ***** sake you're acting all like little kids, I'm sure that when you guys see at the end of the chapter standing Next Week break you're fed up about it as well and immediatly think back: it's not even been a month since last break

Don't try denying it, you can respect it and say, Oh well let's jsut accept it, but i'm sure that Everyone thinks that way (why another break i want to see what's going to happen next week, not wait 2 weeks)
And when one guy says it, you're all going to scold him as hard as you can. It just shows that you think the same way and try to deny yourself from it!
