"Two men were charged in Magistrates Court this morning [Mar 11] following a serious assault with a weapon on a 15-year-old boy on Saturday night [Mar 8].
Derek Andre Weeks, 27, and Javon Deonville Woods, 29, have been charged with two counts each, including assault with intent to cause gross bodily harm and possessing a bladed article with a blade more than three inches in length.
The Court heard that the teenager sustained a wound to his neck, and also had a finger severed.
As the charges can only be heard in the Supreme Court, neither man was required to enter a plea. The case has been set for Mention on March 25. Bail has been set at $10,000 with one surety for each man.
The Court also heard the teenager was allegedly in possession of a motorcycle that belonged to a family member of the defendants when this incident allegedly occurred."
He didn't even steal the bike, even if he did maybe beat his ass, but to chop him was crossing the line.
