Boruto's Hyuga Abilities Discussion [POSSIBLE SPOILERS]

Now most people see this and acknowledge Boruto as being able to utilize the Gentle Fist fighting style of the Hyuga Clan. I'm here to argue that this does not validate that claim. I'd like to argue that due to his lack of Byakugan, he also lacks the ability to release chakra from his chakra points.

As such, I have also come up with another possible scenario for what is being shown in the above spoiler. What I see is Boruto attempting to hit Shikadai with a simple palm strike (because it would make sense that is the style of fighting he'd learn from his mother) but having his attack stop prematurely because he's being blinded by Shikadai's Shadow Possession. Subsequently, the force of the palm strike would cause a little ripple in the air. Considering they're ninja, I'm sure most would agree that this is plausible and Boruto would be tough enough to cause enough of a small force like that.


So please, I'd like to hear what you have to say. Do you guys agree or disagree?

Honestly considering kishi mistreatment of the hyuga and his last stunt in gaiden, I rather wait till the movie. Although it would be trollish to have bolt use the gentle fist form and strikes yet not have gentle fist.

I think that'd make the most sense. He needs the Byakugan to use gentle fist. Unless his eyes are special without the look of byakugan. Otherwise why would he need to get training from Sasuke? He could have gone to get training from one of the Hyuga and become super strong.

I agree with this theory, seems most possible. Boruto probably got caught in his Shadow Possession Jutsu so he couldn't finsh his attack. Interesting fight analysis.

I............don't really care one way or another. What u stated is possible, in fact it is very probable but if it turns out he has gentle fist then it isn't such a big deal imo

I'd like to argue that due to his lack of Byakugan, he also lacks the ability to release chakra from his chakra points.

He couldl memorize all the important tenketsu spots around the human body and since he can already use the style itself, I guess it is safe to assume that he can damage internal organs with it. Rasengan is highest form of chakra shaping as the manga stated and thus, He is most likely able to release chakra from his finger tips.


all of this will most likleyy not happen though, seeing how Juken is such a violent/deadly taijustu style I'd assume that kishi will nerf it when it comes to kids.:yeah:

He went to sasuke because he wanted to beat his dad.

Well yeah but usually you'd want to hone the abilities that you already have. I mean I don't think it would have been as necessary to get training from Sasuke if he already had this impressive ability. Unless he just didn't trust that hyuga techniques would be enough.

If Boruto only has the Byakugan he would`ve easily avoided the shadow possesion jutsu and hit shikai without stopping midway
