Seeing as like the Sharingan mutating from the Byakugan a new mutation has occurred for Boruto.

When Kaguya gave birth to Hagoromo and Hamura, the Yin-Yang chakra got passed on to them but not as a whole but split.

Hagoromo is Yin and Hamura is Yang.

The confusion is from people not acknowledging the chakra fruit and what it does to the alienfolk - Kaguya and her people.

They gain/awaken the rinnegan or some variant of it/unlock some type of body mode as shown by momoshiki.

So treat the rinnegan as completely seperate from the byakugan.

rinnegan -> MS -> sharingan
tenseigan -> perma-byakugan -> byakugan (one that turns back to human eyes like the sharingan)

now mutation-wise, since all we've seen from the byakugan side is all pure, incest da best, we also see some similarities in terms of not necessarily having it so we might see other variants of byakugans

That's not a mutation tho. Naruto's sage chakra didn't get passed on to Boruto. And Hinata's "Hamura" chakra did nothing for her so why would it Boruto.

It probably is a mutation from his Uzumaki/Hyuga blood, since those lines have never mixed. Initially, I thought it was due to the Ootsutsuki seal (hence why they're on the same side), but with this epsiode, we see its actually natural, 100%.

Pretty sure they could cultivate Hashirama's DNA from Naruto's arm. Or Yamato. Either way, she's getting that MS.

She was just transferring chakra to him tho. He didn't have Byakugou and it's abilities. And he was bleeding from the strain from opening dimensions that was too far away.

1 - Obito obviously doesn't have a Byakugou
2 - Sakura had almost no chakra after healing the entire shinobi army
3 - Despite being very low on chakra, she only used the Byakugou to transfer some chakra to him, because he had none

Your post makes absolutely 0% sense. What is the connection of Sarada, a Uchiha, having her own Byakugou to Sakura using her Byakugou to transfer chakra to Obito, exactly?

From your gif I noticed something. Borutos eye starts out normal when he opens it but the light blue begins to cover his dark blue eye.

It is possible that was his normal eye color, and he was turning on the Dojutsu
