I'd say choosing Sasuke as a mentor is a smart move on Boruto's behalf, Uchiha have always been great shinobi, I'm not sure how Naruto could mentor his own son anyway. There's no else I can think of that would be a good teacher for Boruto, maybe Jirayia, but the pervy sage is long dead. Kakashi could also be a good choice because of all his experience.
