When I found out that they were going the do a recap of Naruto the last I was okay as long as the pacing is quick and it only takes a few months.

But know I feel like we won't be out of the movie till at least the new year. This is really hurting the chances of people getting reinvested in naruto in general.

What do you guys think? Has it hurt your overall investment in the new series?

Yes, the new author is terrible, the plot looks like trash, and we have to wait until like 2020(exaggeration) for this new story to come.

It sucks. Not sure how you interest new fans or keep the old ones

There's something fundamentally wrong about rehashing a movie in manga format.

But even if WSJ finds it necessary for telling Boruto's story (translation - cashing in on content that's already been created), I expected pacing similar to when a manga is animated. So since a movie is roughly the same runtime as 3-4 anime episodes, I guessed it would take about a dozen 15- page manga chapters, or up to 4 of the monthly chapters.

Clearly it's going to be 6-7 chapters at least.

And I do read the chapters eventually, but I don't bother checking to see when they'll be released or if they've been translated and scanned yet. Like I do when I'm actually interested in a manga.
