That doesn't mean she is when the actual Kanji said Comrade though, for Japanese speakers it says comrade, for English they put it as rivals. It doesn't make sense to tell one group one thing, and another a different thing all together.

Right now though it should be obvious they aren't rivals. Their interactions are pretty clear in the terms of friendship
