What are u talking about? OVA is a special episode that ranges from 6 to 10 mins , and I'm talking about Boruto , there is no Boruto novels

OVA stands for Original Video Animation Usually either stand-alone episodes, or about under 10-ish episodes long.

It used to be called an OAV (so you might see that) but then was changed because OAV was being mistaken for Original Adult Video. Lol xD

Some OVAs are specials... Like the Elfen Lied OVA, it's something seperate from the series. OVAs are different from movies because movies are usually long featured films, OVAs are usually spin-offs of anime series or something short.

There are some controversies over what can be considered an OVA or a movie. Spirited Away or 5 Centimeters Per Second would be considered movies whereas Amazing Nuts would be considered an OVA. Theres also controversy between series and OVAs too. For example, FLCL (even if only 7 episodes long) would be considered an anime series

There was also a Death Note OVA, talking about the aftermath of certain events.

Gotta be something connecting to the manga. If the OVA does well, then expect an announcement sometime next year for a Boruto anime.
