It looked like that purple lightning(not purple obviously) thing it's likely a weaker form at the moment. And I'm pretty sure his affinity is wind.

It was never confirmed until now, but it was pretty obvious it was Lightning.

Purple Lightning is purple, so it's not that technique. Kakashi's tech looks more like Chidori.

In Canon Boruto has more Lightning techniques than any other element, so it's clear what his affinity is tbh. This OP confirmed it

Boruto was even advertised with Lightning before the Movie came out, it only makes sense that they are confirming it before it too.
