If I'm not mistaken it's canon from Sarada's flashback, we're only getting a different angle. Sasuke left when she was around 5 or older, it's triggered the Borat fans.

Sasuke not recognising her was simply because he didn't expect her to be out there and he was targeted by somebody with a Sharingan. Either that or you could just call it poor writing.

When was it shown in gaiden that sasuke spent time with her in that age. That outfit denotes its a real young sarada.

The time sasuke did spend with his family was a couple days or weeks tops.
