The first tree was created from the spilt blood of generations of war. So maybe the Otstsuki home planet/dimension suffered a similar fate and Momoshiki ate the fruit and chased out Kaguya? Kaguya wanted to eat the fruit on Earth to gain the power to return and overthrow Momoshiki, but she went nuts like he did and ended up screwing herself over by making enemies out of everyone. Would be a solid plot imo.

But Kinshiki lookin crusty.

Momoshiki is small, feminine, physically weak, and delicate while Kinshiki is large, brutish, physically powerful, and has the opposite of feminine delicate features such as a big nose, lots of facial hair, huge hands and large body. Momoshiki is a powerful mage while Kinshiki is a powerful melee fighter, they also like to **** each other.
