Boruto movie?

How does this work? Will it be considered filler or retconned since the true momoshiki arc will be shown in the anime?

Or are both the movie and arc filler outside of the events that are depicted in the manga version of the arc?

But that doesn’t seem right either since the manga is based on the movie so it has to be legit but the anime arc is the final form of the movie but qosbwowodheowjdpqnd

The movie cannot even be considered canon if you ask me; the characters are canon.




Just like Road To Ninja; Akatsuki and everyone in it are canon but not the happenings in the movie itself.





















I'm thinking it'll be retconned like usual; Sasuke's Rinnegan was shown de-activating in the movie; some say it's animation error but what I truly believe is; it's author's way of telling us the movie is head-canon.

The movie probably will be considered filler considering Kishi wanted to add more stuff but couldn't due to the length constraints. The anime will cover the chunnin exams in detail like the CE from Naruto and a few other stuff.
Not to mention the final battle which Kishi already confirmed wasn't what he had given. And the new Momoshiki designs from the manga probably is what Kishi always had in mind.

Wtf? OFCOURSE it's canon it's very important for boruto as a character and his relationships . And like kishi and everone is saying the anime version will include everything they scrapped because of movie length. And that's the third otsutsuki . Momoshiki and Kinshiki backstory and chunin exams fights.

Boruto was handed the seal in that arc u think soemthing like that is filler?

Did you read my post completely? Cuz I already said that Kishi has already confirmed that the final fight wasn't the one he had given and that it was changed. He also said that he wanted to add more stuff to the entire story but couldn't due to the length constraints.
Now when they're going to turn the movie into an anime arc adding all the left out details and stuff its only going to take over the movie. You can't consider both of them canon. And considering the anime is going to converge at some point with the manga which uses the new Momoshiki design its only natural to consider the anime canon over the movie but still you're free to choose lol.

Its a tough call, I'll consider it canon especially the fights(extra detail) if they're the same as the movie or in conformity with the manga. I dont think Ike would have enough manga panels to draw out the whole fight only the key parts, on those grounds I dont have much qualms with it.

I didnt know the last fight wasnt about to happen, but it did. Im not really into new Boruto anime/manga, but Manga fight was different then the movie fight and there were more extra scenes that didnt happened in the movie. When Momoshiki stopped time for example or how Boruto got the seal.
Im not even sure whats even canon here anymore, movie/manga/anime is totally different from each other with the same story but different details

Yup, SP made the changes and my guess is that it pissed Kishi to openly come out and say that lol. And then we see it was changed in the manga as well probably to Kishi's version.

Well if you're coming to the Boruto manga/anime then the movie fight is definitely not canon and that'll be the case for the entire movie when the CE arc comes out.

They added some new things but the overall fight was pretty much the same. What changed was Momo still being alive-ish and giving Boruto that seal.

The Manga already retconned it by Boruto getting a seal & being told of his "prophecy", not to mention Katasuke turned out to be a victim rather than a manipulative ******* like in the movie. The anime version could just be supplementing the manga or become it's own canon, only time will tell.

I think the anime too will have Sasuke's fight and this time hopefully in more detail so don't worry.

The original fight (Sasuke's) is cannon, it's the last fight and CE(lack of detail) which Kishi was unhappy with.
