He absorbed Kinshiki
Still even before that the kage shouldn't even be a problem considering that momoshiki deflected a damn bijiudama according to this guy. I mean what in their arsenal is stronger than a bijuudama? Like indra said. I'm taking this with a grain of salt.

A combo rasengan took him down in the end.Thats most certainly not fake.kishi is prolly on meth as to how does a basic jutsu take down such an opponent

The combo rasengan was said to made from naruto and sasuke. So that might explain it. :lol

He still has a unique attack style and is the strongest among his gen.People are disapoointed because godly things were expected and now that the real thing is shown which is still good its disappointing
him using chiodori effectively without sharingan would have been some major asspul though lmao so somewhat glad it wasnt the case

lol check my sig. i still want to bash that clown for saying such nonsense lol
Smh. So they added the Chidori noise for a generic Raiton technique? Oh Boy..:|

I just hope the movie isn't shit. If it is, then Kishimoto might as well call himself a shit writer since he has said it's the pinnacle of his work.
I don't know if "false advertising" is the right term to use, but yeah, it definitely was something like that. When I first saw the trailer I thought it was Chidori too, but then I watched it over again some other times and started to think about the possibility of not being it. Actually, after a while, I was pretty sure it wasn't the Chidori he was using there, and I kept telling about that possibility to Boruto fans all the time, but they were too busy to see it while overhyping Boruto and downplaying Sarada's every move.

Boruto still got his potential that is awesome and could always be developed, though. :yeah:
I agree. Boruto is a good ninja but people overhyped him and his prodigy label. It's actually kinda ironic and sad because Boruto struggled to impress people and live up to the standards that were put on him in the movie. He wanted so badly to impress that he cheated. For me I really don't care that much about how powerful a character is. I just like watching their story arc and enjoying the character for their personality. I wish more people did that here. :wesobi:
Sorry I quoted so many people, but I'm I think we all understand what I'm trying to say. You can't really say the problem was Bolt fans overhyping (not speaking to the majority here, I just mass quoted for no reason lol ~ I need a little vent, I'm sure people will understand as they read).

From the beginning of the movie, and even in the Manga, Boruto was portrayed as someone different from Naruto. Whether it was style, cocky attitude, or persona, it was apparent. You expected a little bit more. When Boruto was recognized as a Prodigy by Kishimoto, we all from that interpretation expected impressive things from him.

It isn't that we over thought, but we assumed based on perception. Yes, some may have gone out of hand, but for the most part people were inclined to believe the same. Take the first trailer for example, each character was shown with their respected title: Naruto (HERO), Sasuke (MASTER), Sarada (RIVAL), and Boruto (PRODIGY).

Result:
Naruto gets nerfed.
Sasuke only teaches Boruto shurikenjutsu, despite in the trailers we see him tell Boruto "Naruto could do it", when did Naruto have good shurikenjutsu?
Sarada and Boruto become pairing fodder for each other
Boruto does live up to his expectation.

We get out first trailer with actualt footage, about 30 seconds, and we see everyone training. It starts off with Boruto and his clones, and it goes further with Sasuke/Naruto, and then scenes of Mitsuki/Boruto/Sarada doing their own thing. It ends with chirping sound reminiscent to Chidori, and a lightning technique being used by Bolt. No hint of it not being his own technique, in contrast to everyone training and performing their own skills. It distinctively implied (to my at least) this would be his signature technique, his "final technique". What defines him for his skill.

While this "perception" of Bolt starts, we already have; Prodigy status from Kishimoto, and the sign that he can perform a Lightning technique with the Chidori sound, and we connect this to Sasuke who is the boy's master. Now, mind you, while this is going on they continue to advertise Boruto when it is about him, or facts about the movie that partake to his character in which they describe him "A boy with amazing talent", "prodigy", "Boy who excels in the aptitude of shinobi". I would know because I have posted most of these damn translation threads sourcing OragincDinosaur for the past few months on Boruto alone, and I have a file for them in case I needed the information again.

The next trailer (fast forward) actually shows the boy using Gentle Fist (without the Byakugan) which increases his Prodigal title in the "perception" of those who see what he can do already, added that with the mini-Rasengan he performed in the short.
All of this continues, while they continue to rubb the fact that he is the only child in his generation to be Prodigious, all that while they continue to show teasers of Bolt even punning him with the Raiton chakra nature, hyping Boruto vs. Shikidai when they know he wins by cheating (or however), and showing that this male boy will have INCREDIBLE talent and does this to SURPASS his father with Sasuke's help.

No one can clearly say that this is Bolt fan's fault. I've seen about 10+ youtube reviews, and reactions to the Boruto movie trailers alone and they all say the same thing about Boruto:

No doubt about it, he is a genius like Neji man!
Chidori? Rasengan? This kid is amazing!
He has Gentle Fist too? Can this kid calm down?

Don't believe me? Go watch youtube reactions and see how faces light up and how people shriek in excitment when they hear the Chidori, seeing the battling scenes, and learning more about the characters.

For Christ Sake guys we see Sasuke and Boruto training and Sasuke tells him "Naruto could do it" implying that the training is excessive, and it is only Sasuke teaching him how to throw shurikens. Boruto's words, "Please train to me! I want to defeat my father!"

....

The perception of Boruto was screwed, and blaming his fans or people who genuinely were looking forward to his character is a joke. Go read reviews, look at youtube comments, and watch trailer reactions till this day about the Boruto information, and they are still hyping him up and are excited to see him in action (the people who are unaware of current spoilers)

Even Jap fans were pissed about this according to OD, especially the Chidori part.

No, dude, you don't get it. Only that Rasengan will work on him, because it has to. It's the famous movie Rasengan that all the villains fear - it has the power to one-shot any villain, no matter how powerful he's supposed to be and no matter how weak the Rasengan is.
Why do you think rasengan looks like a spirit bomb?

So, were Momoshiki and Kinshiki the threats Kaguya was prepping for?

This is exactly my thought, this whole trailers and our reliable spoiler sources are pointing to the direction that Boruto is indeed a true prodigious, nothing ever implied that his jutsu are clearly not his own or that stupid technology device that helps him perform jutsu so it's totally reasonable to hype (or so called wank) Bolt character but then Kishi decide to rub it off to our face at the last moment.

Air palm vanishes until it has been struck the same thing according to the spoiler. It said the rasengan didn't really vanishes

Air palm is not rasengan. What you saying sounds like air palm, not rasengan

Air palm is basically air while rasengan is not; otherwise it would be called airsengan
