I agree. Boruto is a good ninja but people overhyped him and his prodigy label. It's actually kinda ironic and sad because Boruto struggled to impress people and live up to the standards that were put on him in the movie. He wanted so badly to impress that he cheated. For me I really don't care that much about how powerful a character is. I just like watching their story arc and enjoying the character for their personality. I wish more people did that here. :wesobi:

That device should never have been a part of the movie.Its definitely gonna bring ratings down.The only thing reharding Bolt that's going to resonate with the audience is that device

looking at his battle with the villian Bolt could clearly take on the exams without cheating

the kid just wanted to impress his Dad so much that he just didn't believe simple victories would be enough seeing as everything else didn't warrant Naruto's attention not even his own daughters B-day

That's where Kishi created his ultimate mistake.It doesn't exactly matter how strong is.Cheating made a dent to his character regardless

Personally,I believe he is the strongest but as a character he now leaves a lot to be desired.He just isn't a mature kid

it is just that his confidence is overly lacking

with people in the village always expecting him no 100% believing that he has to always be the top and with his own Pops not caring for him and shunning him as a villager so that it could seem fair without actually knowing that he is still a kid

I don't know about the ratings. I heard from some spoiler comments on the movie that they enjoyed it a lot better then The Last. So it can still be an enjoyable movie. I want to watch it for the new generation and to see what they are all like...and to see Naruto's generation as parents.

that was before he got the Genin headband and then all the pressure went to him....

the kid probably thought that once he got to be a ninja he'd be able to talk to his Dad and see him more often


Team Konohamaru goes to the 7th to get their new briefing and Boruto is likely excited to see his Dad.... calls him Dad only for Naruto to coldly shut him down


how dare Boruto show affection to the great Lord 7th..... Naruto can't show love to Boruto he must treat everyone equally.... in order to prove a point the GREAT LORD 7th must be more harsh to Boruto then everyone else he must show that scum of a boy that the LORD of the village cares more about the villagers then his own two children

I understand his reasons but still it doesn't mean it's okay to cheat. To be fair the new generation is extremely strong. It wouldn't have been an easy victory and from a spoiler I saw Shikadai was gaining the upper hand. I don't know. We really need to see the movie to judge all of this for ourselves.

I can too. *shrug* it's the same with every Naruto character though. I can understand why the villians did what they did...why Sasuke did what he did...why Itachi did what he did...Kishi likes to make people relate to the characters by showing their faults in a way that we can understand. I don't really know what to say about it besides the fact that it does hurt his character and I don't like it...but it's understandable.
