Whats the consesus on the new Boruto manga and anime. Is it good or bad? Is it worth following? Is Madara revived? Was it ever revealed Kawaki is Sasukes long lost son?

Too busy getting into DB super too find these answers for myself.

Just started but its really not worth reading right now because the plot has this Wave Arc minus the actual Zabuza/Haku villains plot.

= Boring start

Anime is harmless fluff that i'll end up enjoying when I start watching it every week. I like it.

Manga is still unavoidably badly illustrated with recaps and gross costume changes. I do not like it.

Not bad, but also not good. It's alright.

It's kinda boring, though. Needs more Sarada panels/screentime. I'm honestly getting tired of seeing Boruto using shadow clones/rasengan in every single episode/chapter, we need new interesting stuff.

Oh I forgot to talk about the manga. The art is pretty terrible (although we have had Boruto Novel leaks from the academy arc in the anime, Ikemoto drew some of these new characters ... and it's actually pretty freaking good).

However this new author draws Sarada walking around like a child martyr for fan service, what makes it worse is that she's forced to punch no jutsu with shannaro at her coattails. No originality here at all with their fighting styles. It's actually kind of a disturbing mixture.

At least for now its not even bother reading unless the plot picks up. Unless you want to shitty versions of our characters with terrible new characters (points at Tentou)

Good enough to where everyone's gonna keep watching/reading until it gets better..regardless of their current complaints

to me it a work in progress it not easy to make sequels of a story that ended well especially the ones of manga plus I doubt the drawings are kishomoto's it a new hand trying to fit in and hopefully it will get better. most Mangas starts poorly why baruto is obvious is because it a continued sequel of a prime existing Manga with well drawn characters.

I love the Kawaki option... I'd would root for him if that was the case.

Uzumaki/Uchiha

Anime: Imo, it's decent. It feels like a fresh start compared to the disaster that the War Arc is. It seems slow as of right now as they establishing the kids' relationship, and one at the time, but I don't mind that. In fact, one of the biggest reason why a lot of people complain about the Naruto-Sasuke relationship is because the foundation was extremely weak and excuted rather poorly. So, establishing that for the new generation from the get go is a good thing imo.

The conflict might seem silly, or perhaps some people think there isn't anything too serious as of right now, but I am, personally, okey with that as they are in the academy which is extremely limited in term of what it has to offer. As unlike the Genin-Rank, they can't even do D-Rank missions. Not to mention, the fact that they live in a peacful time makes it harder to create conflict. For all those factors, I feel like
the anime is doing a good job so far. We already knew from previous intervews with Kishi that this anime will be lighthearted, so it's not like it violated any expectations. What is happening is to be expected.

Manga: It's a big harder to judge. They wasted a lot of time (10 months?) doing the movie events, so that was pretty useless to us overall as it did not bring anything new to the table. In fact, you could argue it did more damage than good seeing how the drawing is extremely lackluster overall. Which means, we only have 1 chapter to judge the manga based on, and that chapter is the start of the new arc. I don't think it will be accurate to judge an arc/manga based on 1 original chapter. I can only hope that things will get better, but we will have to wait and see.

To me it's amazing a good start to a great overall anime . No it's not boring every episode is important because it's introducing the characters . We can't judge the manga yet . Only 1 chapter lol .
