Given that Sakura got like...a panel, in Boruto, I don't see the new author ever having the urge to draw the panels a death sequence would require. It's more likely the village will be destroyed, and then we'll conspicuously never see Sakura in a panel again.

The only way to kill her is cut her head off since Byakogou shields her from all wounds, but as you said the author won't give her the panel time so she ain't dead. U_U
