Spoilers ahead! Read with ease! While Boruto: Naruto the Movie made it painfully obvious that Boruto and Naruto aren't alike, it doesn't mean that Boruto is a failure. Boruto was caught cheating in the Chunin Exam in order to impress his father, something I believe he did when Momoshiki was defeated. Because he cheated, it can be assumed that Boruto isn't a Shinobi with much potential, then again neither was the 7th Hokage at a young age. I think that Boruto only has one defining trait shared with his father, and this is something Sasuke also notes. Bortuo has Naruto's determination to never give up on his goal, no matter the cost. However aside from that, he doesn't share a lot of characteristics but he is not a failure of a Shinobi like Naruto was viewed at his age. Boruto mastered Kage-Bushin and Rasengan on a huge level when he was young, just as Naruto. However Boruto lacks the chakra reserves that Naruto has. This formula reminds me of another family member of Boruto, his grandfather to be exact. The legendary 4th Hokage, Minato Namikaze! Minato was quick to think and fought using speed and tactic, something Sasuke also does. (His speed has been noted.) Take into note that Boruto and Minato are related and Boruto is also trained by Sasuke then I think its highly likely that when Boruto grows up he will be a Shinobi alike his grandfather, but with some of Naruto's personality. Boruto lacks the chakra reserves of Naruto, but has proven to be able to master the Rasengan to a huge degree. He has trained under Sasuke who focuses on speed and precision like Minato did. Boruto isn't as stupid as his father, though he may not be as intelligent as his grandfather either. What do you think? |

I belive due to all the chakra he inherited from naruto and hinata he has an immense chakra reserve he just didn't train enough

boruto went the sasuke path, i wonder what road is ahead of him.. will it be light or dark path in the future, he asking about orochimaru so it possible he might meet up with the white snake for some lessons of sasuke...naruto past...
