Well I can't really generalize from the Movie since that's where his character had the biggest conflict for his person, though I can't really say any next generation character had any bad-ass moments like when we first saw Neji, or most Sasuke fights.

He can still be a prodigy if he put his effort into mastering his jutsu instead of dozing off but considering how much potential he has, the author might not think that way.

Not really understanding what you mean by this. He was acting up because Naruto was just being a bad father in general. There was a reason valid for his outbursts, not just plain characterization.


Honestly the next generation story doesn't even focus on the Konohagakure brats. It's supposed to be about multiple characters, not like Naruto itself. That's what Kishimoto said, logically there's no reason to showcase that kind of protag. Either way, Naruto mainly got crapped on because he isn't a Prodigy, nor was he even slightly intelligent outside of battle.


Boruto lacks in neither of those areas either.

It's reasonable for Boruto to act up but I'm speaking generally about stereotypes in this shonen genre when a main Protagonist show their distinguished in their weakness as well as this type of trait and personality, the author tends to set up alot of obstacle where a main character have to overcome it and usually their remark doesn't come in handy especially when it comes to plot.

That was kind of the premise of the Movie, though. His bad treatment was in the Movie -- The showcasing that his prodigal talent was going to waste because he didn't want to train, or try hard. In fact you would think the logical understanding is that the opposite effect would happen because of his character development finishing.

I'm saying there's a chance that this new writer will might set up this bad treatment again for Boruto due to plot sakes and it can go either 2 ways. Boruto is a prodigy that they will have to nerf him OR Boruto will get alot of plot shielded with some of the embarrassment and will recieve burrow powerups to defeat this said villain.

He is smart I'm not denying it. I'm reinstating what I said. I'm having this odd feeling that Boruto will most likely act extremely dumb like Naruto at some point because he's protagonist who needs to do such things.
