Boruto Episode 63 Review

Great episode this week, amazing character building more so than the movies.


Everyone stepped up to the plate. Hinata fought to save her husband. All the genin gathered the civilians and made sure the hurt ones got medical attention. Boruto stepped up and realize his father was right all along and that the hokage isn’t just someone sitting at a desk. Sasuke stepped up and took on the hokage leadership role, reinstating boruto’ shinobi status giving sarada her orders to protect the leaf and leading the mission to recover Naruto. The gokage also stepped up to help their ally and friend.


We got confirmation and some new information during the meeting in the hokage office. Kaguya’ scroll that Sasuke collected had the location of Momoshiki’ dimension on it, implying kaguya knew who her pursuers would be. Sasuke with his rinnegan can also access that dimension just by reading the scroll. We learn that all 3 ohtsutsuki have the power to steal chakra, how kinshiki does this is still unknown.


We learn that mitsuki is hospitalized and in critical condition after having his chakra stolen by urashiki. Since chakra in Naruto/Boruto can sometimes be interchangeable with life force/soul/spirit, mitsuki could suffer character and/or personality changes especially towards Boruto. If they decide to use the more literal chakra definition, he just may need his chakra levels balanced. I wonder if orochimaru will get pissed off once he finds out and if that’ll send him after urashiki or the entire ohtsutsuki clan.




Again great episode. We got plenty this week that we didn’t get from the movie or manga. Solid 4/5.

No offense, it was fair, but in contrast to what we had already seen in the movie it's not much to talk about. There isn't anything jarring that occurred, besides changes with Hinata that excarcebated that whole scene with her fawning over Naruto's toddler self through Boruto (also getting a bit high from it). It was hard watching, but I'm used to cringe-scenes so I soldiered through it. But it was really cringe. I would have duck under a desk if I was still a kid just to avoid seeing it unfold, but thanks to Sasuke we were saved. If there was more Sakura I think the episode would have been a whole lot better.

I’m convinced it was full of flashbacks because this episode was just more stalling for the fight

From the NEP it seems like the fight is the same pre-super Momoshiki

Yeah...but i still think its wasted episode... they could put that in short / but instead they do flash backs every few seconds for few mins and showing the same scenes over and over again.... they dont even have what to show lol

The episode was mostly useless. So much flashbacks of stuff that happened IN THE PREVIOUS EPISODE. Even the part where naruto sacrificed himself was repeated TWICE. How the **** does Boruto know what kurama said? Since those were boruto's flashback at least the writers should do a better job of putting the flashbacks in BORUTO's perspective.

The episode was completely trash. If this is the general route of the Boruto anime then I don't see much future in it

I really liked how Sasuke was standing at the Hokage's desk while talking to the other Kage. Just like he said in the Last - he's the only one who can protect the village if Naruto's not there. He's the alternate Hokage.
