I have a theory that Sumire is going to die and Boruto will blame himself and laugh at his morale of saving everyone (that he told Mitsuki)

Also after this event he will be more distant from his Father, Naruto which will lead to the Boruto character we see in Gaiden and the movie

I doubt sumire is going to die, she's probably gonna be forgiven and everyone will forget about what happened... :lol

I mean if I was a writer that was merging the movie plot with the prequel anime plot I would try to explain why Sumire, etc.. was missing in the anime by having her killed off

They could easily make up some excuse as to why not only her, but iwabe,denki,sumire's friends aren't in the boruto movie.
