It's probably mutated byakugan, having genes from both Uzumaki and Hyuga clans, and Boruto simply did not born with byakugan already.

How? Sasuke is probably not even in the village since he's always on the move in and out of dimensions.

Great start! Animation is not bad
Seeing a lot of familiar faces brings back the memories and hope for something new and exciting. I can't wait to see Boruto and Kawaki fight and all the reasons that lead to that. It was hard for me to adjust to new technologies and colorful opening, but it's a new generation.
I like that Boruto's voice is close to Naruto's at that age
