Inside the Village of the Hidden Leaf, Byakuyadan’s (The White Night Band) activities increase in frequency. There are those who view them as heroes, but Boruto just cannot accept what the Byakuyadan do. As the security in the village become tighter, Shikadai meet a young boy named “Ryougi”, and become friends with him.

I don't see anything wrong with sub-plots, as long as it doesn't contradict anything. Amongst the advantages, is the increase in character development, which is always welcomed.

You're asking me the impossible here. 7 episodes constitutes 7 more weeks of more waiting and it could be more or have you confirmed that somehow? Either way, I've lost all hopes for this series, especially after what they pulled in the Manga, with the messy pacing and lackluster writing. I'm also not fond of the prominence of technology, nor the type of villains they're introducing. For now, Boruto seems okay Anime-wise, but it'll eventually catch up anyway. And maybe these upcoming episodes won't be so bad, but I gave the recent few a decent chance, and they were mostly disappointing, except for the instances Team 7 showed-off their repertoire. But nonetheless, the chances of this series getting any better are slim, especially with how bad the Manga is doing.

Some of the anime sub-plots has been incorporated into the Manga, and the official Boruto timeline, so I wouldn't call them fillers. At least, not all of them.

Furthermore, there are actually similarities between the characters personalities in the anime and the Manga. Case in point; Boruto nonchalant attitude.

the manga is very good the latest chapter was a 10/10 for me. ninja tech isn't a problem to me i guess to each their own. We need something new and refreshing something different from naruto and we got it.I'm satisfied. KARA look like a big threat and each member looks awesome and unique. i'm looking forward to a lot of things in the manga. like i said in my other thread the anime ruins Boruto's reputation. it's so ****in directionless. what matters is the main plot in the manga not the anime

the manga is very good the latest chapter was a 10/10 for me. ninja tech isn't a problem to me i guess to each their own. We need something new and refreshing something different from naruto and we got it.I'm satisfied. Why would i be mad at you? I am mad at the overall quality of this forum. I feel it is a waste of time to linger around and i took the chance of my hiatus to vent it a bit towards the members that post stuff but cant' contribute for a proper environnment.
