Cause Boruto created a clone acting himself as diversion and manage to weaken Momo by stabbing the rinnegan on his hand and also and manage to control big chakra that his father lend whereas Naruto had struggle all of his life to control big enormous chakra such as normal size rasengan, giant rasengan, summoning jutsu, and rasenshiruken.
