Literally Boruto has the potential to be the best kenjutsu user as well as one of the most lethal users of long distance striking.


First if his Jougan continues to grow it will be only a matter of time before he gets another byakugan ability.

If the Jougan ever gets the byakugan 360 range then...

Boruto first shoots purple lighting into the sky... Then regardless of were his opponent is he can lock on to him with his Jougan/Byakugan ability and snipe him from any point even if it is kms away.:reborn:

Boruto Purple lightning has the potential to be extremely versatile similar to Sasuke lightning style where he spread his shock wave in cellular level. This possibly work in the same conjunction as the Hyuga once he can locate a chakra point with his joagan and can hit vital spot with his lightning projectile .

The Lightning Release: Purple Electricity technique was developed by Kakashi Hatake after the loss of his Sharingan following the Fourth Shinobi World War; which left him unable to properly use his signature Lightning Cutter technique.

The user unleashes a stream of purple electricity from his hand to attack targets from a short-to-mid range. This technique was powerful enough to summon rain clouds when shot into the sky. Kakashi can also creatively allow this technique to flow through spilled alcohol.

lol what is with Kakashi, everytime he makes a new technique it has some insane lore to it.

The Lightning blade/cutter by Kakashi was known to split lightning.

Kenjutsu (剣術, Literally meaning: Sword Technique) pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be shinobi, or samurai. Kenjutsu can be used in combination with taijutsu, ninjutsu, fūinjutsu, chakra flow and even genjutsu in order to achieve more devastating techniques. It is regarded as a branch of bukijutsu.

Lightning Release (雷遁, Raiton, English TV: Lightning Style) is one of the five basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement. The electricity paralyses the target so that they are unable to move and leaves them vulnerable to a finishing strike. While uncommon, lightning can be infused into bladed weapons in a way similar to Wind Release through chakra flow for increased piercing power through vibrations, with the added effect of inducing numbness.

Byakugan

Being distantly related to the Hyūga clan, Mukai was able to find a way to activate the Byakugan in his left eye as a genetic throwback. The Byakugan grants Mukai penetrative vision in a near-360° around himself, as well as giving him the ability to see the Chakra Pathway System. He's also shown great skill in reading the flow of chakra, even within jutsu such as the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique; and can use this insight to split a jutsu apart.

So far the novels seem to be canon due to appearances of moves in the Boruto manga and anime.

Damn you really nailed it. I was only generalizing lightning style in function of hyuga that he could use to utilize in many shape or forms but you completely went indepth with his Kenjutsu which I didn't really put much thought into it tbh.
