So far, Naruto is showing that his ways are only leading to destruction and fights (Shin, Kawaki, Momoshiki)

The Great Toad said the child of prophecy would bring peace and should have blue eyes. I know there are parts like being Jiraya's student they aren't complete or fullfilled. But we can't ignore that maybe Naruto failed.

Could Boruto possibly be the child of prophecy?

I agree. I would have prefered Kishi keep Naruto just as a guy who would never waver, we didn't need him to be destined to do anything. His determination was enough to make everything awesome.

That prophecy was fulfilled and done. No one said Naruto and Sasuke would end all violence and bloodshed for all time. No one will ever be able to do that.

The brighter the light the greater the shadow it casts.
