Well the face whiskers are covered leaving it ambiguous who it's really depicting and that was apart of the last chapter release, so they would of known about borutos character at that time

But irregardless we see shells with spiral simples and uzumaki who are known for their sealing jutsu their clan simple is the spiral so it makes sense it correlates to s she'll aswell

And that's probably how this Kara group knows about the seal it would actually be cool if this group were actually uzumakis

Akatsuki had pawns of their own even though they were being used themselves. Nothing is completely outside the realm of possibility right now, seeing as though we're given just enough to speculate and theorize.
