Boruto: Naruto the Movie opened in Japanese theaters on August 7, 2015. Shuiesha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has announced the DVD and Blu-ray release date for the movie will be in July 2016, which is around 11 months after the theatrical opening. This is the longest gap between a theatrical and home release for a Naruto movie. 2014’s The Last: Naruto the Movie had the shortest turn around, a little over 7 months, from theater to home release. No word yet on when the movie will officially make it’s way to DVD and Blu-ray in North America, but that may be because it returns to theaters tommorow.
