In the series ashura and indra weren't just the names of his sons, but the chakra avatars of the yin and yang seals they both possessed.
In the series if you look into it all the sharingan is rooted in Japanese folklore like the tomoes, the different abilities everything sharingan related is rooted in Japanese culture.

I started to do research on what the byakugan would be based on in the begining of my research was finding what is the 8 trigrams is and rooted in. The 8 trigrams is rooted in taoist belief in China, the 8 trigrams called the bagua.
Bagua is a concept of combing ones yin and yang natures to create the golden elixir or enlightenment.
Interestingly in naruto the last movie Toneri in his tenseigan mode created this golden energy of destructive force.
Doing a bit more digging into chinese culture and taoism I came across the being the jade emperor who is the highest diety in Chinese culture ruling ruling the highest heaven. Also in taoism the is also connected to the concept of the three pure ones all ruling a heaven. The jade emperor rules the first heaven and this heaven represents wuji or the state of nothing, while the second pure commands taiji which is the combination of yin and yang forces and third pure one commands yin and yang separately. If you look at Toneri chakra mode he receives a green chakra mode.

What people don't know in the series that's not the complete okutsuki symbol there's a main house with the 8 pointed star symbol. Also narutobase member Sam has theorized that this symbol in real life is rooted the chiba mon which is a three part symbol of a moon sun and star.

Like I said earlier the jade emperor commands the highest heaven command over wuji which would be void release or destruction release since yin yang release commands creation.

So if the chakra avatar embodiment of Hagoromo's yin yang seal are ashura the hindu multi armed diety and indra the lightning diety what is hamura.
If we look deeper into the jade emperor we will find that it has ties with the Buddhist diety sakra who is the Buddhist equivalent of indra. This is interesting when you consider in this series Boruto is suppose to take after sasuke.

In the series narutos ashura chakra avatar manifested when doing his planetary rasengan he had six arms and three faces. While sasuke's indra chakra avatar manifested in form when sasuke's susanoo turned into a lightning warrior hurling a lightning aura the actual weapon of indra.
In this series kawakii represents hagoromo or also the combined aspects of naruto and sasuke taking both the indra and ashura aspects.

The byakugan evolution will parallel the sharingan but represent pure holy angelic eyes probably awakening higher eyes is obtained by finding enlightenment. So I'm expecting the byakugan to have its own unique susanoo form. The sharingan susanoo is based on the Japanese tengu, interestingly the word tengu has roots in a mythical chinese dog said to eat both the sun and moon.
If kawakii will modeled after hagoromo who in his most powerful had the rinnegan the sage of six path chakra and was the jinchuuriki of the juubi. So I'm expecting the same for kawakii.
So boruto need power to be able to combat that as I explain in this thread I believe boruto will awaken his own god fruit so he obtains his own juubi mode and awaken a new dojutsu to be able to combat kawakii in that power
