BoruSara: Canon or Not?

I have as of recent been hearing all over the internet about this from the shippers and it is pretty annoying I will admit. They say that the Boruto movie canonized it and I went to read the Naruto Wiki about the movie and it seems so from what I read. But I am still unsure..

So which is it? Is BoruSara canon or not?

Since the series is presumably done , the pairing isn't canon. Unless Kishimoto plans on continuing to milk the series further (which we all assume he will) then the pairing will stay fanfic.
