Chapter 4: Shinobi Born
A few weeks have passed since the relocation of the Uchiha clan. The village's mixed feelings about the decision made by the Hokage is shown within the council. Some say that the idea was brilliant while other say that they should have been expelled. However the thoughts that run through the Hokage's mind, after his encounter with Kagami makes him regret his decision, but not for the injustice it demonstrates...It haunts for a much more compelling reason.
Mito “Tobirama-sama, we've received some new missions, well paying ones at that”
Tobirama “What are they?”
Mito “We'll there are a few assassination missions for missing-nin, and high class bandits...an important delivery, and an alliance mission, concerning a missing-nin from Sunagakure”
Tobirama “I see...”
Tobirama looks down on his desk during his conversation with Mito. On his left a scroll lays open and on his right the decree he signed ordering the relocation of the Uchiha clan.
Mito “Tobirama-sama?”
Tobirama “Forgive me Mito-chan, but I have something very perplexing on my mind at the moment. I have to take a walk, can I trust you to handle Misa and the missions for the moment?”
Mito “Yes...(looks on the left side of his desk) Tobirama-sama”
Tobirama rolls up the scroll and places it in his belt, with the label facing not being shown. He gets up and he walks past the kunoichi, who bares a look of worry on her face and leaves...On the outskirts of the village team Miyagi is engaged in a training session near a river with a large waterfall. Kagami, Shisui, and Tsubaki sit on rocks underneath the waterfall, as the heavy water showers aggressively down on them. What they now go through is the waterfall method.
Miyagi “This training is to help you cloak yourself chakra. Through this you learn how to release chakra all throughout your body and you learn how to focus chakra outside different parts of your body simultaneously.”
The faces and posture on each of the three shinobi demonstrates intense difficulty in this technique, and a lot of focus and chakra being used. The waterfall method of training is perhaps one of the most advanced chakra control training methods and is rarely used to teach genin.
Tsubaki “Sensei...this...is embarrassing”
Miyagi “What do you mean? Sitting on a rock is embarrassing to you?”
Tsubaki “No...the fact that you had me off everything except my underwear”
All three shinobi are stripped down of their cloths. Kagami and Shisui in their boxers while Tsubaki remains with her panties and bra.
Miyagi “Oh that...the more clothes you have on the harder this technique is. You have good control Tsubaki but from what I'm seeing right now you're having some difficulty...besides you don't look half bad”
Tsubaki “Sensei don't be a pervert~”
Kagami “Both of you shut up this training is hard enough as it is without you two talking”
Suddenly Kagami looses focus and control of his chakra. The chakra around him dispels and the heavy water rains down hard on him. A split second after Miyagi appears behind him on the rock and grabs takes him off. Kagami begins to cough and pant heavily.
Miyagi “Lets take a break...kai!”
The heavy waterfall lightens up revealing that Miyagi had used a jutsu to make the falls heavier on the three shinobi. Tsubaki and Shisui leap of the waterfall panting just as heavily as Kagami.
Miyagi “Alright you three this is going to be our last step in our chakra control training. After this we're going to work on some jutsu”
Tsubaki “What jutsu are you planning on teaching us?”
Miyagi “Oh I'm not going to teach you any specific technique, you're going to have to find out what type of shinobi you are?”
Tsubaki “What do you mean?!”
Miyagi “It's quite simple, each shinobi has a fighting style; I fight with all ranges of ninjutsu, I have a high prowess for taijutsu, and I'm proficient enough in genjutsu to cast fairly strong illusions”
Kagami “How is that all a fighting style, seems like you're making yourself out to be unbeatable”
Miyagi “Well I guess you could call me a close ranged specialist. A shinobi needs to be well rounded and if I do say so myself I'm pretty much a well rounded shinobi (smiles)
Shisui “So basically you're saying we should know how to do a little of everything?”
Miyagi “Here's a little lesson. It's not the amount of jutsu or the level of jutsu you use but your ability to cover your weak points and exploit your opponents weak points that wins a battle. The shinobi academy is fairly new and since the ranks given are fairly new when I was registered as a shinobi here I was already a jounin. I can tell you however when I was younger and was beginning my training I started out as a close ranged taijutsu fighter with exceptional speed. I worked and trained on that for years to the point my mastery of my close range jutsu defined my general fighting style. There was one fight I was in when I was a teenager that would've resulted in my death had it not been for my father, saving me. The shinobi used long ranged ninjutsu and he was very good at keeping me out of range for my attacks. All that training I did was useless in that battle. My father came in, and he fought the same way as me, however when that shinobi used his jutsu my father was able to defend it with techniques I never knew he had.”
Tsubaki “So your father really only used close ranged ninjutsu like you but he had long ranged attacks as a back up?”
Miyagi “Exactly right. I've seen my father in countless fights, and sparing matches where he never needed anything other then his close ranged fighting, mainly because the shinobi he faced were of a lower level then him and fought within his range. However this one opponent was perhaps the strongest he'd ever fought and he demonstrated a whole new arsenal that I never knew he had and I came to view my father as an even greater shinobi then I had once believed”
Kagami “It's safe to assume your father was a strong shinobi?”
Miyagi “Let me put it another way...if there was a rank, between jounin and Kage my father would be in that category. He's much stronger then your average jounin but he's not yet as strong as a Kage”
Shisui “What happened to him? Is he still alive?”
Miyagi “No he's not. It happened about 5 or 6 years ago. Both me and my father were on a mission for the village, the ranking system not yet established.
Kagami “What does rank have to do with it. You were a high level shinobi still back then right?”
Miyagi “Yes but the reason I brought it up is because...I should have never been on that mission”
Miyagi's cheerful look becomes serious and regretful looking and the three genin pay close attention to their sensei.
Miyagi “Our mission was to assassinate a shinobi, who was part of a clan of shinobi who went around robbing and killing people. The shinobi was the leader of this clan and the village though that after he was killed we could do an autopsy and find out what his clan's secret abilities were...however what we didn't know was how powerful the shinobi was. What I said about the shinobi before I take back. The shinobi me and my father faced was the greatest match we had ever been in. I was taken out of commission in the beginning of the fight leaving just my father. My father took some blows and injuries that I had never seen before on him...however my father matched him at every turn...it wasn't until...the rest of his clan showed up. My father was overwhelmed and as I tried to help I only got in the way. I took a cut to the right arm that was immense and my father told me to get out. I tried to stay but the moment my father was able to distract them he made me leave. I reported everything and reinforcements were sent...they managed to finish the mission and ended up killing a majority of the clan but...they brought back my father in a body bag.”
The shinobi look at their sensei and realize the pain he feels from the death of his father.
Miyagi “There's five classifications for missions now; D-rank, C-rank, B-rank, A-rank, and S-rank. D are given to genin like you, C are given to chuunin, B are given to high level chuunin and jounin, A is given to jounin, and S are given to teams of jounin or exceptionally high ranking jounin. The mission we went on would've been a class S...”
Tsubaki “Sensei...are you alright?”
Miyagi's cheerfulness returns in a flash and he looks at his students with a warm smile.
Miyagi “But I've gotten a lot stronger since then and I'm a little stronger then my dad was then. That's what crazy training will do for ya (laughs)
the three shinobi crack a smile at their sensei attempting to move on from the subject.
Miyagi “Back on the matter at hand. It's good to be well rounded but it's also good to have a signature that is all your own. I've told you about my special ability and from all the training we've done together I already have a general idea of what your fighting styles are, but I made a secret bet with myself so I'm not going to tell you. You're going to have to figure it out by yourselves. Once you do though I'll be able to help each of you develop those styles and we'll work together with each other and maybe come up with a team jutsu or formation”
Tsubaki “How are we supposed to figure out what techniques work better for us?”
Miyagi “Well study things you like. Try different things and whatever comes easier to you, you might want to stick with...alright that's enough time for a break back under the waterfall”
Tsubaki “No way am I stripping down to my underwear again”
Miyagi “You could strip completely naked, I mean it would make the technique easier for you”
Tsubaki “Pervert!”
Miyagi “I'm only joking Tsubaki-chan”
Overhead a brown hawk circles over the shinobi and lets out it's call. Miyagi looks up and notices it realizing that it's a message of summoning.
Miyagi “Actually it looks like the Hokage is summoning me for a mission. I guess that's if for today. You guys get the rest of the day off how fortunate”
Tsubaki and the others sigh, a sigh of relief and their sensei leaves them. Miyagi heads to the Hokage residence while the three genin head back into the village to take some down time. Tsubaki lags behind her two comrades who walk side by side. The three remain silent for a long while, not uttering a word to one another. Tsubaki looks upon her two teammates. Her eyes see into their chakra and their feelings. She see's pain within both the hearts of her comrades and at the same time she sees an overwhelming negativity forming in both shinobi although she doesn't understand. The core of pureness that she once saw underneath all of Shisui's darkness has shrunk and the confusion she once saw in Kagami now seems more bitter and even more indecisive then ever. She looks at both of her teammates with different feelings however. Despite the negativity within both bodies she feels compassion for Kagami and overwhelming fear for Shisui, unable to see past the Kyuubi into his real heart.
Shisui “Tsubaki-chan?”
Tsubaki snaps out of her trans and notices that both Shisui and Kagami have stopped and have turn to her.
Shisui “Is there something wrong?”
Tsubaki “uhh...no nothing at all why do you ask?”
Kagami “You're all the way back there, you're acting kind of strange”
Tsubaki “Sorry, I'm just a little tired from the training is all (laughs untruthfully)
The shinobi continue to walk in silence and when the reach the village, Shisui parts with them towards his dwelling. Kagami and Tsubaki head in the same direction, both of their homes being in the same general direction. As they walk through the village Tsubaki notices the cold stares and negative feelings of the villagers directed in their direction. Tsubaki looks around puzzled feeling outcast for some odd reason.
Kagami “They're not looking at you”
Tsubaki looks to Kagami who she notices is even tenser and slowly filling with more pain.
Kagami “I'm the one who's grabbing their hate”
Tsubaki “What do you mean...why would all these people...why would they be looking at you so coldly?”
Kagami “Because of what that traitor did...because of Madara my whole clan has to deal with this isolation and now not even the Hokage trusts us”
Tsubaki “Kagami-kun...”
Kagami “That's why I decided to become the face of my clan. I will turn these cold looks back into looks of admiration and respect. I will become the strongest Uchiha, even more powerful then Madara-dono and I will show everybody just how powerful the Uchihas can be and how faithful they are to their village”
Tsubaki “Kagami-kun...”
Kagami “You look at me the same way Tsubaki. The reason you didn't stand next to me or Shisui, you felt the same way everybody else does, afraid.”
Tsubaki “You're wrong I mean...it wasn't just because of anything like that”
Kagami “Then what?!”
Tsubaki “I felt kind of bad...I saw your chakra and I saw that you were...upset. You always seem distant during our training and...it's like you want to be away from the rest of us”
Kagami “I'm sorry if I made you feel like you did anything wrong. To be honest I trust both you and Shisui with my life. You are perhaps the closest people to me...I'm just more of a solitary person”
Tsubaki “You know...as a team it's best for us to get to know each other better. We help each other, that's what being on a team is all about”
Kagami “How could you help me?”
Tsubaki “(blushes) well...maybe...if we hung out more you could feel more comfortable talking to me about how you feel and I could better understand your pain...just as friends I mean”
Kagami “I'm not much of an emotional person either, I'm a shinobi I'm supposed to keep a control on my feelings”
Tsubaki “Sometimes in order to keep control you need to vent”
Kagami “Tsubaki...thank you for showing that you're not like everybody else. You don't look at me like I'm a monster”
Tsubaki “I never did...to be honest Kagami...the only reason I stayed away from you was because I felt worthless as a teammate to you and Shisui. You two are always protecting me and I saw such pain in you and I couldn't do anything about it. I couldn't...help you the way you helped me and~”
Kagami “You'll blossom soon enough Tsubaki and until then...I'll still protect and help you...like you said that's what teammates do”
Tsubaki blushes and looks at her teammate with a shy happiness. Kagami heads into the province where his clan has been sentenced too and above on the tori shows the Uchiha crest. As Tsubaki stands looking at Kagami as he walks away, she looks into him once more and sees a small glimmer of light emerge from deep inside him and even though it's small it's bright enough to stand out...At the Hokage residence Miyagi stands in front of desk with three shinobi sitting behind it, the mission assignment desk. Mito is leading the desk in assigning the missions to each shinobi. Miyagi holds a mission statement in his hands reading it over.
Miyagi “This sounds pretty important. I'd feel better if there was somebody else going with me on such an important task. With two of us and the one shinobi guarding the scroll we'd have a better success rate”
Mito “How are your students coming along?”
Miyagi “Very well, they all have exceptional skills, beyond the scope of ordinary genin. I feel that they could be promoted to chuunin in a little under a year”
Mito “So they're skills are above average you would say”
Miyagi begins to understand what Mito is implying and his face turns serious.
Miyagi “I'm not taking them on this mission”
Mito “To be honest I expected you to bring them along.”
Miyagi “This is a B-ranked mission, way outside of the scope of shinobi who are mere genin level. Exceptional or not this is a very difficult mission with a very high risk factor even for jounin. I have no frets about bringing another jounin or even a chuunin with me but not genin”
Mito “We're really busy around the village, assigning shinobi to new posts, setting up facilities that require the advanced shinobi to look after in terms of preparation if we're to do things as smoothly as we want them to, not to mention the few missions we do have that have tied up the rest of our squads. Quit frankly there's not much option”
Miyagi “Why not send any of the other genin teams? Why choose mine in particular?”
Mito “For the very reason you stated...your team is the most advanced genin team in the whole village at this point. They've had ample time to train and knowing you and your heavy duty training, if they've done as well as you say they have they may just become chuunin even sooner?”
Miyagi “We haven't had any battle training or formation training. We've only been through conditioning drills and chakra drills. They're resourceful in utilizing their chakra in unique ways but that's not enough if we're potentially going to up against mid and high level shinobi who have been properly trained in battle.”
Mito “I know you have hang ups about things like this, sending lower level shinobi on higher ranking missions. I was told of what happened to your father during your mission”
Miyagi “Then you can understand why I'm refusing to accept this”
Mito “I myself don't feel that they should go, especially Shisui, given his situation, but this is crucial to Konoha's alliance with this village. This could bring more missions to the table meaning more money to fund our organizations and to rebuild Konoha. Soon we won't need to send low level genin on missions like this”
Miyagi “But in order to do so we have to risk it right now with my team”
Mito “Miyagi...this will be good for both you and them. This will give them a taste of the real world of the shinobi and it could help you in...letting go. Are you so incompetent in your abilities as a teacher to not believe you've taught them well enough to handle themselves fairly well in your abilities as a shinobi not to be able to protect them?”
Miyagi takes the paper and begins leaving the room, before he does he turns his head partially towards Mito.
Miyagi “I'll do it...but only this once”
Miyagi leaves the room and Mito sighs and begins flipping through the other mission statements...In the Uchiha complex Kagami heads through looking at the rest of his clan. He sees the many homes, shops, and his clansmen. All of them organized into this ghetto and he notices the looks of frustration they have on their faces. The only few he sees without a care in the world are the innocent children who don't know of what kind of world they live in. As Kagami walks through, he heads to the Naka River in the back of the complex. When he arrives to the river he sees Tobirama sitting dead center in the river.
Kagami “Hokage-sama what are you doing here?”
Tobirama “I always come to this river to think...Before everything happened...before Konoha even I used to train here with my water techniques”
Kagami “I've heard rumors about your skills saying that you could create your own sea only using the water molecules in the atmosphere...”
Tobirama “(closes eyes and laughs), well even so, remember every great shinobi starts out as a novice at one point or another...this river provides me with something more then just training...It allows me to clear my head and confess everything”
Kagami “Like what?”
Tobirama “(stands up and walks off the river) Like the guilt I have about sentencing you and your clan here. I looked at the children in your clan...not a thought in the world about anything except the here and now...just fun and innocent. They're the only ones who aren't hurt by this...not yet...Also...”
Tobirama pauses for a moment and turns his head away from Kagami feeling guilt for what he's about to say.
Tobirama “I realized that you were right Kagami...I didn't trust you or your clan they way I should. Although I tried to defend your rights I felt deep down...a little fear because of what happened to my brother.”
Kagami “So why are you here then? Just to tell us that?!”
Tobirama “No...to apologize to you and the rest of your clan...I realized that you were the ones who really suffered. You were betrayed along with the rest of Konoha and by those you held closest. You've all lost somebody or some people that were close to you because of what they did...however instead of joining them you all showed loyalty to Konoha above your loved ones and you stuck by our side...For you and your clansmen were dealt the worst blow by the ones you loved...I of all people should have understood that.”
Kagami looks a his leader speechless.
Tobirama “You're parents...they were involved weren't they...I remember seeing them amongst the others~”
Kagami “I don't care...As far as I'm concerned they're a disgrace to me and the clan. I have no pride in being their son. All I want to do is to become an Uchiha that will earn the respect of Konoha back. I will become even stronger then Madara-dono and protect Konoha”
Tobirama “And when you do, you may very well become Hokage one day Kagami”
Tobirama leaves the boy to his thoughts and Kagami is filled with a little more respect for Tobirama. Overhead Kagami sees a hawk circling above him and he answers the call and heads to the main gates of Konoha. Once he arrives he sees Tsubaki, Shisui, and Miyagi waiting for him.
Kagami “So it turns out that this mission was for the whole team huh sensei?”
Miyagi “Yes...Before we start I'm going to explain to you the details of this particularly important mission. The Land of Valley's is starting up a new village known as Tanigakure (Land of Rivers), and one of the founding clans has decided to split their clan in two, with one section of the clan remaining behind in the country outside of the confines of the village, for security reasons concerning their clan's secret jutsu. The clan's original location is a secret and has been hidden for many generations without a soul, outside of the clan ever finding out its location. The current leader of the clan however wants the technique scroll for their most powerful jutsu to remain in the hands of the village and so the clan is sending a messenger shinobi to deliver it to the village. Our mission is to guard that shinobi on their way to deliver this scroll to the village.”
Shisui “Why do we need to help escort the shinobi?”
Miyagi “The Kamisori clan (Razor Family) is renown for their hidden techniques. They're clan's location may be a secret but the power their hidden techniques possess is no secret. The Kamisori clan also had a lot of enemies in the Land of Valleys and since Tanigakure is young they have yet to assimilate all the clans within the country”
Tsubaki “Assimilate?”
Miyagi “In this day and age, when a shinobi nation is started by a country, their main concern is gaining power fast. Once the village is set up the country and village has all rights to the country's inhabitants. The Daimyou with the normal residence in their country and the shinobi village dealing with the inhabitants of their village and...that of shinobi clans outside of the village. A shinobi village will go through a phase of assimilation, where clans of shinobi are sought out and offered to join the village...The clan will then have one of three choices: accept and become part of the village, decline and leave the country peacefully, or decline and stay and face the military might of the village to either eradicate them or force them out of the village”
Tsubaki “That's horrible”
Kagami “It's just how things are. The Senju and Uchiha clans were the founding clans and when Konoha set up they sent out and did the same thing. The trio clans; Yaminaka, Nara, and Akimichi accepted, as well as the Hyuuga, Inuzuka, Aburame, and Sarutobi. It's a military strategy”
Shisui “So we're just insurance in case the shinobi is attacked and the scroll is stolen?”
Tsubaki “That seems pretty high class doesn't it sensei?”
Miyagi “I know...it's a B-ranked mission”
Tsubaki “But sensei, we're only genin we should only be on D-ranked~”
Miyagi “I know but with all the new organizations being set up around the village the only available teams are genin teams like us and the mission desk decided to send us sense they believed we were the best team”
Kagami “It doesn't make a difference to me”
Shisui “If we're the only team that can do it then I guess we don't have much choice”
Miyagi “Listen to me all of you”
Miyagi remains in a serious mood and looks at all three of his students.
Miyagi “I will protect you all with my life, but the moment things get to heated you I want you guys to get out of there do you understand?”
Tsubaki “But sensei~”
Miyagi “Is that understood? The moment I tell you to get out of there you listen to me and keep going and don't look back”
The three shinobi nod reluctantly agreeing to their sensei. With those final words said the shinobi begin their departure heading towards the Land of Valleys to meet up with the shinobi messenger.
Several Hours Pass (Late Afternoon)
The four shinobi arrive at the rendezvous in the Land of Valleys by late afternoon. A few minutes after they arrive a shinobi comes out of the bushes and greets them. He's a young shinobi in his late teens baring the symbol of his new village.
Kou “You must be the Konoha shinobi here to help with my mission”
Miyagi “Yes. I am Miyagi Kotetsu, to my left are my students, Shisui Uzumaki, Tsubaki Tsuchi, and Kagami Uchiha”
Kou “I heard Konoha was understaffed with shinobi but I didn't realize that it was like this, sending genin on such a mission like this”
Kagami “Don't underestimate us”
Miyagi “I apologize for this but I assure you, these are the strongest genin in our village and we have the strongest team. We will complete this mission”
The shinobi nods and the five of them set out towards Tanigakure. As they start their trek to the village overhead in the sky an eye opens up and looks down at the five shinobi. In the distance a shinobi sits with his eyes closed with the ram seal meditating and maintaining his genjutsu.
Taiki “Four shinobi have joined him”
A “Well who are they?”
Taiki “They appear to be shinobi from Konoha...but from what it looks like only one of them poses a threat, the others are low level, probably genin. They're just kids”
B “Well that's not very challenging. I was expecting more of a fight”
Taiki “It doesn't matter, it just makes our job easier. We'll complete our mission and find out the Kamisori clan's secret techniques...lets go”
The shinobi opens his eyes and it is revealed that the shinobi is blind. He stands up and behind him three shinobi stand; two twins and a large muscular man. They head out and begin their pursuit of the 5 shinobi...After several minutes Miyagi calls the convoy to a stop in a fairly wide space within the forest and calls out the four shinobi trailing them.
C “Guess he found us out”
The four shinobi leap down in front of the shinobi, revealing themselves. Miyagi's look intensifies knowing a battle is inevitable. He clinches his fist and looks at the the shinobi.
Taiki “How did you find us out?”
Miyagi “The moment you used that genjutsu to track us”
Taiki “Your chakra...it feels strong”
Tsubaki “*he's a sensor like me*”
A “Taiki-san that guy is a Kotetsu”
Taiki “Really...I've heard stories of the Kotetsu shinobi, never did I expect to fight one in my lifetime”
Miyagi “Listen you three, I'm going to make a distraction for you. Take Kou and continue heading towards the village”
Kagami “Sensei it's four on one~”
Miyagi “I've taken much larger number just do as I say”
Suddenly the blind shinobi appears in between all five shinobi and lunges a kunai at Miyagi. Without turning around Miyagi side steps the shinobi, grabs his arm and places a kunai at the neck of the shinobi, who in turn grabs Miyagi's wrist before it impacts. The other four shinobi back away after they realize what had happened. The large shinobi appears behind Kou and proceeds to slam down a large fist down on the shinobi. He leaps up and evades the fist and the shinobi (C ) creates a crater in the ground. C continues to Kou attempting to get the scroll on his belt. The last two shinobi (A and B) walk up behind the genin and get their attention. They all take out a kunai and get on guard and Kagami activates his Sharingan.
B “Ah an Uchiha, this may be fun after all”
Miyagi “*shit I can't handle all of them by myself, this guy is fast enough to keep up with me if I can take him down first maybe I can get to the others before anything happens and they can get out*”
Taiki “Neither of us are going to complete our goals standing like this. I suggest you do something”
Both shinobi back up out of their stalemate and look at each other. Miyagi studies every slight movement in the shinobi's body and observes minor details. Taiki moves his left foot slightly and Miyagi begins making rapid hand seals and he leaps back. Multiple shuriken and kunai rush at Miyagi as he leaps up.
Miyagi “Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Release: Water Encampment Wall)”
Miyagi spits out a fairly large amount of water from his mouth and it creates a wall washing away all the projectiles. The shinobi appears behind Miyagi and he attempts to kick. Miyagi grabs the Taiki's leg and throws him down to the ground and before the shinobi could get up Miyagi was on top of him with a kunai directly in his chest. The shinobi appeared dead but a seal appears on the body and the body electrifies. Realizing it's a trap Miyagi tries to leap back but he's caught in the electric field. The blind shinobi appears walking towards Miyagi, caught in his trap but he suddenly stops.
Taiki “The rumors of your family's speed are true”
A kunai is pressed against Taiki's neck and behind him stands Miyagi. Miyagi stares intensely at the shinobi who stands nonchalantly.
Taiki “You made a shadow clone the moment you realized I had made a trap clone of myself and sent him down instead...impressive”
Miyagi “Why do you want this scroll?”
Taiki “That's our business I'm afraid”
Miyagi leaps back away from Taiki suddenly. In the palm of Taiki's hand there is a paper bomb, Taiki tried to place on Miyagi's leg, a mere instant after Taiki's last statement. Miyagi places up his guard and Taiki turns around and looks into the eyes of Miyagi, reading his chakra with his blind eyes. The shinobi fighting Kou proves to be a most admirable fighter. The shinobi is fast however not as fast as his leader and his two other teammates. Kou manages to keep up with his movements but just enough to get out of the way of his attacks.
Kou "(Panting) *this is ridiculous, my taijutsu won't work on this guy, it's like hitting a brick wall*”
C “The scroll is all I want give it to me and you won't have to die”
Kou “I only have one change”
Kou makes a few quick seals and places his hand on the ground
Kou “Kuchiyose no Jutsu! (Summoning Technique)”
A black crow is summoned on the ground in front of the shinobi and it latches on to his shoulder. C looks at Kou confused and then suddenly gets up close to him and swings his fist. Kou jumps, with the bird still on his back. Kou lands in a tree and he uses a type of sign language to the bird. The bird gets off his shoulder and gets in front of him. Kou makes the tiger seal and the crow increases in size massively. He makes the snake and ox seal and suddenly the crow transforms into a giant shuriken. Kou jumps through the whole of the shuriken and grabs onto it and lands in front of C.
C “You're making this harder then it has to be. That weapon's not going to help you one bit”
Kou stares at the rough looking shinobi. Using both hands he launches the shuriken at the shinobi and C evades it.
C “You are powerful if you can launch such a weapon with that kind of speed but not as strong as me”
C heads to Kou with great speed and Kou cracks a small smile. C looks confused and suddenly he hears the screech of the crow and his eyes widen with shock. He looks behind him and sees the shuriken spiraling towards him. He stops short of his attack and jumps up. The shuriken stops in front of Kou and then shoots up towards C. C uses both hands to hammer down the shuriken when it gets close to him and it goes crashing into the ground. C lands and away from Kou and the shuriken and he sees the feet of the crow extend out of the shuriken pulling itself from the ground and he sees the eyes appear on the shuriken.
C “That is a very unique technique”
B, from the two twins looks over to C and notices his problem with his opponent. He smiles and nudges his brother who holds Shisui with one hand by the collar.
B “I wish I had fought that guy, he would've made some good competition”
A “He's our only target, these runts are insignificant. We'll help C the moment we finish with them”
Shuriken go flying towards the back of A and B. The shuriken are aimed perfectly at their heads however, without turning around B raises his blade and deflects all the shuriken. B turns around and sees Kagami with his Sharingan panting rather heavily. A lets go of Shisui and before he reaches the ground he kicks him straight into Kagami. Kagami leaps to avoid being hit by Shisui and takes out six kunai. Tsubaki catches Shisui and Kagami releases his kunai. Again they're deflected off of the two shinobi's blades, however Kagami swings both his hands back, revealing trick wire at the ends of his fingertips, connected to the kunai. He swings his hands around wrapping the shinobi in the wire and Kagami lands. Kagami begins making seals but the both shinobi angle their blades with their free wrist and cut through the wire like butter. Kagami stops his seals and ducks, as A appears behind him and swings his blade. B comes up under Kagami and launches a kick, but is caught by Kagami. Kagami sweeps the leg of B and tries to land a punch on him. A places his blade in between Kagami's fist and his brother causing Kagami to hit the blade. B puts one hand on the ground to maintain his balance and swings his blade to stab Kagami. The moment the blade enters Kagami a block of wood replaces it. Kagami used the Substitution jutsu and appeared next to his teammates. A and B get up and look at the three shinobi.
Kagami “*This new Sharingan is amazing, I can see their attacks clearly now, but if they stay together I can't pull off an attack...I have to find a way to separate them then I can take them out one at a time*”
A “We're going to need to be in sync if we're going to kill do this”
B “Don't ruin my fun how often to I get to fight an Uchiha, even if he's a kid”
A “we need that scroll”
The bout between Kou and C wages on. Kou takes the offensive now, attacking C with a high level of taijutsu. The combination of taijutsu and the giant shuriken allow Kou to take the offensive in the battle while C plays defensive. He blocks Kou's attacks with not problem but he's excreting a lot of energy to evade and deflect the giant crow shuriken.
C “Enough!”
C blocks an oncoming kick from Kou and forces him back. Just as the crow shuriken races towards him from the back, he turns and grabs it. He slides back trying due to the power generated from the speed and size of the shuriken but he manages to hold it between his arms. He slams the shuriken into the ground embedding it. The crow tries to get out but he's too deep in the ground. Kou rushes towards C but he merely back fists him sending him crashing into a tree. Kou tries to get up but he feels a powerful pain in his right side. From that one punch most of he ribs on Kou's right side had been broken. C walks toward Kou and Kou pants heavily. C reaches for the scroll and at that moment Kou grabs onto his arm trying to prevent him from taking the scroll.
C “Pathetic, you've been defeated accept it. You're lucky I decided to let you live”
Kou “Arrogant bastard...(smiles) look behind you”
C's eyes widen and he sees he can hear the spiraling of the shuriken behind him. He looks behind him and tries to move however Kou holds on to his arm tight. A second later the shuriken cuts C clean in two and a split second after that the shuriken turns back into a small crow and gets on Kou's lap.
Kou “(pats the bird's head) good boy”
The summon disappears and and blood rapidly spills out of C's severed two pieces.
A “You idiot this is your fault”
B “What are you talking about C shouldn't have been so stupid”
A “Just shut up and get the scroll I'll finish this”
B does what his brother asks and he heads towards the scroll. Kagami's eyes widen with the sudden realization of opportunity.
Kagami “*Now's my chance*”
Kagami takes out a kunai but and prepares to execute a plan, and he see's A's movements and prepares himself. At that moment A disappeared and the sound of blades clashing behind him turns his widened eyed expression from opportunity bound, to complete confusion and shock. He turns to see Shisui holding a kunai to A's sword behind him.
Kagami “*But...how?...I saw him, I knew he was going to be there but how did he...”
