In this next chapter the focus is going to be the actual coup de'tat attempt by Madara Uchiha and the few Uchiha rebels. This chapter will deal with the battle field of the shinobi vs Uchiha, Tobirama's abilities outside his obvious Water release techniques and the sealing of the Kyuubi. There are also going to be some politics that play in here and it's going to detail how Danzo and Love began their underground operations together and why they are disobeying the village. At the of the chapter there will be a short scene from present time returning the focus.
Konoha is in turmoil. An ordinary peaceful night in Konoha turns into a chaotic one where the air and clouds become poisoned with blood, caused by those once dear to Konoha. Madara Uchiha, along with a few 60 followers from his clan have decided to overturn Konoha's government, and in turn taking control of the village away from the Senju and restoring an order where the Uchiha rule. The Uchiha clan, renown for being one of the most powerful shinobi clans and possessing one of the strongest kekkei genkai. The Sharingan gives these shinobi amazing power and even though only 60 members of this clan have risen to support their leader's actions, Konoha proves to have much difficulty dealing with the elite of their village.
Tobirama “Protect the citizens and get them to the safe houses in the mountain, set up a barrier and keep guard, they are our prime concern”
General “Yes sir, and what about Shodai-sama?”
Tobirama “I have no idea where he is. I saw him rush out the moment he saw Madara. My brother is not the kind of guy to just rush head first into things, if he bolted like that after Madara, then something must be wrong. I need to make sure the village is secure first before I go and help him”
General “Should I send a task force after him to aid him?”
Tobirama “Those two are two of the strongest shinobi in existence at this point in time. Sending help will only hinder my brother, Madara's powers can only be dealt with by Hashirama. I'm probably the closest in ability to make a difference but quite frankly I would probably be killed in the cross fire”
General “I understand sir”
The shinobi leaves to handle the security of the civilians while Tobirama stands on the top of the Hokage residence watching as shinobi run frantically trying to deal with the Uchiha rebels. The village has became a battle field and the Uchihas exploit the weaknesses of the shinobi by use of their Sharingan. Being able to read their opponents abilities and accommodate to them. They force long ranged fighters to fight close and personal. They keep close range fighters at bay with long ranged attacks. The Uchihas work together in exploiting the nature weaknesses of each shinobi. Sending water to douse fire, lightning to ground earth, complimenting water and lightning to cause massive damage. Truly the Uchiha are powerful shinobi. The village has them outnumbered almost 10:1 and yet not one single Uchiha has been taken down yet.
Tobirama “*Madara there's no way you're stupid enough to fight us with such pitiful numbers, even if your clan is elite...what the hell are you planning?*”
Two shinobi fight side by side against four shinobi, who've multiplied their numbers using the shadow clone technique.
Love “Danzo, you're a wind affinity right?”
Danzo “What does that have to do with anything?”
Love “I've seen how they've been fighting. They're going to keep us at a distance since we both fight close range”
Danzo “Then we have to figure out which ones are the real shinobi and draw them out”
Love “You make it sound easier then it actually is”
Suddenly four of the shinobi clones lash out about a dozen shuriken towards the two shinobi. Danzo takes out a kunai and deflects from his end while Love uses his katana to cut down those on his half. Love uses lightning fast speed and leaps up and takes down three of the clones of one shinobi, while Danzo gets himself close enough to cut down one of the clones with his kunai. The gap between the two shinobi increases and a few of the clones leap into that gap officially cutting them off from one another and surrounding them.
Uchiha 1 “Doton: Doryuuha (Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave)
A large pile of earth and stones form up under the user. As he stands on top of the formation he allows it to lash out almost like a snake at Love. The jutsu also branches off and can attack from different angles. Love evades the jutsu as best he can but can't keep up with it's speed. He gets caught and is forced to block with his blade. He manages to enhance the density of his blade with his chakra before impact and as the earth hits, he slides back quickly recovering from the blow...the Uchihas on Danzo's side use their fire affinities to combat his wind style. Danzo's reflexes however are not as fine tuned as Love's and he can't evade the attacks as well. Danzo gets caught in a large burst of fire, but he manages to emerge from it alive. Despite this fact Danzo's body remains chard and he feels intense pain, unable to move immediately after the attack. One of the clones gets behind Danzo and swings a kunai. Danzo reacts but not quick enough to evade the strike and he's cut severely near his left kidney. He lands far enough away from the shinobi but quickly drops to his knee, holding his side, which bleeds out rapidly. Danzo pants heavily, his body burnt and a fatal organ bleeding out painfully. The Uchiha and the clones facing Danzo make the seals for a combination fire technique to finish him off however Danzo has reached his limit.
Love “Danzo get up!”
The large flames of 6 combined fireball techniques rage towards Danzo.
Miyagi “Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Release: Water Encampment Wall)
A large wall of water emerges in front of Danzo and it extinguishes the fires and causes massive steam to rise.
Uchiha 2 “Damn it I can't see”
Suddenly from the steam a large stream of water shoots out towards the shinobi and it hits him however it's a clone of the real one. A short white haired man stands next to Danzo. Miyagi Kotetsu protected a wounded Danzo from certain death.
Danzo “Miyagi?”
Miyagi “I won't hear it Danzo, I won't accept thanks for saving you”
Danzo “You idiot this isn't a jok~”
Miyagi “Alright if you insist I will let you buy me dinner after this but now's the time to pick your ass up get out of here”
Danzo “Are you crazy, I'm not leaving, you guys are still outnumbered”
Miyagi “If I have to keep saving you you'll just make it harder and besides if anymore blood comes out you're going to die quick”
Danzo staggers up and reluctantly leaves the battle field leaving just Love and Miyagi.
Love “Miyagi, these guys will read your techniques and fight you based on your weakness”
Miyagi “I know, how to fight an Uchiha Love”
At that precise moment Miyagi is struck down with multiple shuriken to the head and body. However Miyagi appears behind the Uchiha with his hand on his shoulder.
Miyagi “I know their weakness is their Sharingan's inability to react fast enough to see and react to movements that they're own body can't keep up with. You're pretty fast Love you should make that work for you like I do”
The Uchiha reacts surprised at the speed of Miyagi and as he turns his head around he's struck through the heart by Miyagi. Suddenly four shadow clones disappear revealing that the shinobi killed was the real individual. Miyagi's cheerful and pleasant face turns serious and he makes five hand seals.
Miyagi “Kobura Tsume (Cobra's Claw)
Miyagi vanishes and in a split second multiple clones and two the real shinobi disappears/spurt blood from their torsos and die. The technique used by Miyagi is a high speed ninjutsu technique that allows the user to move at a speed unseen to the naked eye. This speed combined with the use of a bladed weapon allows the user to attack their opponent unseen...Miyagi re-appears however he's panting heavily. The price of that jutsu is extreme fatigue after extended use even once is enough leave the user partially dazed.
Love “Miyagi you know what that does to you, stop trying to show off, save your energy for the rest to come”
By this time Love has taken Miyagi's advice and he's seen holding the last shinobi under his arm dead, yet he is slightly out of breath as well.
Miyagi “Do you think Danzo made it to the medical corp?”
Love “We can't worry about that right now we have to~”
Suddenly the ground begins to shake and a large cloud of smoke from the distance appears near forest of the village. From the smoke a great beast emerges with nine tails and an evil aura that sends cold chills up the spines of all the shinobi. The Kyuubi has been summoned and in the eyes of the Kyuubi are the Sharingan. Everybody is struck with fearful amazement, rebels and shinobi of Konoha alike.
Love “Is that?!
Miyagi “The Kyuubi...but how that beast should be inside the Jinchuuriki at Uzushiogakure”
Love “Only Madara has such an ability to control such a thing. To think...this was his true plan all along, he doesn't want to overthrow the village, he wants to completely obliterate it”
Tobirama looks amazed at this sight and suddenly his expression turns more serious then ever before. From his pouch on his leg he takes out a scroll and places his hand in the middle of the seal. A blade handle appears and Tobirama grabs hold of it. A stream of lightning comes out and in the general form of a blade. The Sword of the Thunder God, a blade that has been passed down to the leaders of the Senju clan for generations. Tobirama weilds it, having taken over as leader of his clan after Hashirama became Shodai Hokage, however Hashirama and the leaders before have never wielded this weapon as Tobirama has.
Tobirama “I have to get to Hashirama quick, before this gets any further”
Hashirama “*Tobi!, Tobi! If you can hear me you have to teleport us away from the village*”
Hashirama uses a telepathy technique to relay a message to his brother.
Tobirama “*I can't let you take this alone you have to let me help~*”
Hashirama “*Listen to me the only way you can help is by getting us as far away from the village as possible. Have faith that I can handle this, until you take care of the rest of the village now do as I say!*”
Tobirama closes his eyes and agrees with his brother. He holds his blade up and then a flash of lightning appears and Tobirama vanishes. Tobirama appears on top of a tree in the forests on the outside of Konoha with his brother, Madara and the Demon Fox in sight but he's still at a distance away from them. Tobirama makes multiple quick hand seals and makes the half tiger seal with one hand. In the distance Madara looks and see's Tobirama and his look intensifies and he clinches his fist
Madara “Hashirama you coward, you have your brother step in on our fight, and just when I thought you couldn't be more pathetic”
Hashirama “Who's pathetic, the shinobi who's using the village as a distraction or somebody who truly wishes this to be one on one. Tobi is only going to make that possible”
Madara “That cursed Sword of the Thunder God”
The lightning in the blade disappears and suddenly a large seal forms under Hashirama, Madara and the Kyuubi in the distance.
Tobirama “Ninpo: Kami Sochi no Jutsu! (Ninja art: God's Step Technique)
A large bolt of lightning strikes the seal and the three characters are sent miles away from Konoha. Konoha is nowhere in sight, only a large thick forest with a river a few more miles behind them. The technique used by Tobirama was a Space-Time manipulation technique. The seal found under the feet of the three characters was the detection while the lightning that struck only teleports those under the seal to another location, as far as the user can send them...Tobirama can no longer see his brother or Madara or the Kyuubi however he's extremely exhausted. Never before has he had to use that jutsu on the scale that he did. To teleport such a large area (thanks to the Kyuubi) to a distance as far as he did. Quit frankly he's used up a vast majority of his chakra just to take them away from the village. Tobirama's exhaustion catches up with him and he begins to fall. He catches a branch with his back as he falls and it cushions the fall however Tobirama is still unconscious. A shinobi appears and helps up the fallen shinobi and wakes him.
Shinobi “Tobirama-sama are you alright?”
Tobirama brushes the shinobi off the moment he gets his head back on straight and orders him to go back to the village and alert Mito Uzumaki. The shinobi obeys and then Tobirama picks up his blade and heads back into battle he uses his God's step jutsu on himself to instantly transport him into the village. Using it on a much smaller scale is more manageable to him yet the technique still requires a fair amount of chakra. Tobirama places his hand on the ground and uses a detection technique to decipher the locations of the rebels.
Tobirama “...there's a little under 60...I'm going to end this before now”
Tobirama begins using his God's step technique to teleport him to the locations of the Uchihas and takes them out quickly with the aid of his fellow shinobi. He uses the jutsu three more times to get him to the most heavy set battles to help those who really need it and then he decides to hold off on the technique. All the while A large unit of no less then a hundred shinobi, led by Mito Uzumaki head to the location where Tobirama transported Madara and Hashirama. Several minutes pass and the rebels have been defeated by the shinobi of Konoha.
Miyagi “Tobirama-sama, all the rebels have been taken out, there's also a unit of shinobi guarding the Uchiha residences and heading towards Shodai-sama”
Tobirama “Alright, I'm going to leave everything here to the rest of you guys. I have to help Hashirama”
Tobirama heads out to help his brother and the unit sent after them. As he gets closer and closer to the location of the battle he sees the devastating damage done to the field around him from the long ranged attacks of the Kyuubi and gets even more worried about his brother. By the time he gets to the battle the Kyuubi and the massive number of shinobi fighting it are the only ones seen.
Tobirama “Mito-chan where is Hashirama and Madara?”
Mito “When we had arrived Hashirama had broken the control Madara had on the beast and they headed towards the large body of water that way.”
Tobirama “I have to help him”
Mito “Wait, we need your help here. This is just too much for us”
Tobirama looks at the difficulty the shinobi have with the beast and he stays.
Shinobi “He about to use that attack again. Everybody brace yourselves”
Tobirama gets to the front and takes out his Thunder God Sword. He lifts it in the air just as the beast is about to use the Tailed Beast Bomb. The lightning from the blade extends into the sky creating the sound of thunder. Just as the beast shoots the bomb, Tobirama swings his blade and a large lightning wave intercepts the bomb, negating it and also causing a large amount of static, which stuns the beast.. The other shinobi stand aw struck at the display of power by Tobirama. Despite this impressive power Tobirama drops to his knees and falls again. His second most powerful technique Raiton: Raijin no Ken (Lightning Release: Sword of the Thunder God). Having used his two most powerful techniques to defend the village leaves Tobirama not only exhausted but near death as his chakra depletes rapidly at this moment.
Mito “Get him a medic and begin the sealing process while the beast is weakened!”
Mito takes the lead and multiple other shinobi surround the beast. They preform the Eight Trigrams method and suddenly a large seal emerges under the demon and from that a Cage springs up and holds the demon. The demon tries to break free but the shinobi remain strong in keeping up the seal.
Mito “We need...we need to seal this demon away quick before it breaks the seal.”
Shinobi “Mito-senpai...the woman's son...he has the same type of chakra she does and he has much more chakra then she does?”
Mito “He's only a child, there's no way...We can't do that to him not with both his parents dead, who's going to take care of him”
Shinobi “I'm sure Konoha will be able to look after him. It would be better seeing as they have more security then our village”
Mito “That's not what I meant at all...he'll loose any chance of being happy”
Shinobi “Mito-senpai if we don't do something soon we'll all die”
Mito reluctantly agrees and a few other members go to fetch the boy...After almost an hour the shinobi holding the seal become exhausted even for Uzumaki standards. The boy is brought to the field and his expression is dark and depressed however knowing that he now has a responsibility. The ceremonial bed of the Eight Trigrams method is set up and Shisui lays on the bed and the seal is engraved into his stomach. Mito then releases the seal on the Kyuubi, dropping the gates and as the cage drops chains are seen restraining the Kyuubi. Mito makes two hand seals and claps her hands together. Her faces tenses up showing the strain put on her to preform the technique. The chains restraining the Kyuubi begin to drag towards Shisui and the chakra chains enter through Shisui's seal which turns into a black whole allowing the chains and the Kyuubi to be sucked in. The Kyuubi tries his hardest to resist being sucked in but slowly and surely he is dragged.
Kyuubi “I'M NOT GOING TO BE SEALED INSIDE THIS BRAT!!”
The Kyuubi resists but eventually his body is swallowed by the black whole. As the Kyuubi enters his body Shisui begins to scream in pain. Once the Kyuubi is inside his body Mito places her hand on his stomach. Shisui's eyes turn red and in the shape of the Kyuubi's his teeth sharpen and his nails get longer symbolizing a transformation. A red chakra cloak begins to form around him and his skin begins to burn a become reddened with blood. Mito pours all her chakra into the seal and eventually the seal turns from a single whole back into the spiral patter with the seals around it. Mito drops to her hands and knees and Shisui begins to revert back to normal and then passes out...Tobirama is revived thanks to the medical efforts of the shinobi medics but he rushes to his feet and tries to head towards his brother.
Medical-nin “Tobirama-sama you shouldn't be so hasty you just got your strength back. You still need to rest”
Tobirama “I have to go to my brother...he needs me”
Tobirama heads out and he's followed by a small group of shinobi. Mito is helped up and the medic goes to her but she tells him that she's fine and she heads out with Tobirama. A few minutes pass and Mito catches up with the crowd. The shinobi stand there in aw at the sight of things. The battle field is littered with weapons devestated land around it and both shinobi lay spattered in blood. Tobirama runs to his brother and feels a faint pulse and the medics go to help him. However despite their efforts Hashirama doesn't wake. The medics check Madara and fell no pulse. Although they try to revive him he's pronounced dead. Hashirama however is in a coma. The battle was won however Hashirama paid a hefty price as well.
Councilman 1 “We have to expel the Uchiha from our village. They can't be trusted and they failed to report this coup attempt to the village.
Councilman 2 “They're also the reason for Shodai-sama's condition.
Tobirama “Lets all calm down we have to think rationally about this. The rest of the clan wasn't swayed by Madara, they kept out of it and they're not resisting anything at this point in time. They cooperated when we barraged their residences and they're answering all our questions~”
Councilman 2 “That's only because they have no choice. Who knows they could working to plan another attempt after this one. We're vulnerable now. We have to do what's best for the village.”
Councilman 3 “Wait, I agree with Tobirama-sama. The rest of the clan has been very helpful in revealing everything, and from what we can tell there is no signs of more plotting or resentment from their part. We can't rule them out bue I do believe that precautions should be set just as a safe guard. We are weak from this terrible mishap after all”
Councilman 4 “I agree”
Love “You're all being to lenient about this situation. We can't trust the Uchihas, that's a fact regardless of the rest of the clan's involvement or not. How can we trust the testimonies of them now”
Councilman 1 “That's right”
Love “I have a proposal”
Tobirama “What is it?”
Love “Torture”
The rest of the council falls silent at the extreme proposal by the shinobi.
Tobirama “No we can't~”
Danzo “I second it”
The rest of the group looks at Danzo as he walks in with his cane
Councilman 2 “Danzo-san aren't you supposed to be in the hospital still?”
Danzo “This is more important, and I agree 100% with Love on this matter. The Uchihas possess the powers to do this again. They also possess the ability to hide untruthfulness behind genjutsu, you all forget that one fact”
Tobirama “Torture is for enemies from outside nations, not comrades”
Danzo “You still call them comrades after what has been done, Have you already forgotten, it's only been a week”
Tobirama “Watch your tone Danzo”
Danzo “Comrades...comrades are buffers for missions, comrade is the term you use for people who assist you in an alliance, only to complete the mission that must be done for the village. The completion of our mission takes priority over our so called comrades, and our mission is to protect Konoha and bring it to its highest level of prosperity and maintain peace.”
Tobirama “What a misguided mind”
Love “Tobirama-sama, the proposal has been seconded therefor a vote is required...All in favor”
Reluctant hands raise however before anymore then three could raise Tobirama slams his hands down on the desk
Tobirama “I'm acting head of this council and I have final say. This proposal is thrown out. We are not resorting to torture of the Uchihas”
Danzo “With all due respect you're not yet the Hokage, Tobirama-sama”
Tobirama “Yet I have all the powers of the Hokage right now and I'm current candidate Nidaime Hokage so therefore I still have final say. This discussion is closed until further notice everybody is dismissed”
Tobirama's burst shows his anger towards Love and Danzo for such a though and also his overall fustration about the situation as a whole. What Danzo said was right, Tobirama isn't yet Hokage, nor does he want to be if it means through the death of his beloved brother. Tobirama's natural cheerfulness and peaceful side has begun to fall ever since the incident.
Tobirama “Misa you know you shouldn't be on your feet. You're almost due you know”
Tobirama enters the hospital room where Misa stands looking at her husband.
Misa “He's hasn't even moved in months...I'm just worried is all. I really don't want him to miss the birth of our child”
Tobirama “I'm just hoping that he pulls through so I don't have to keep dealing with all this”
Misa “So you're not even concerned if he's healthy when he wakes up?”
Tobirama “No, that's not what I meant, I just mean...*sigh* I do miss him, I'm just trying to be more cheerful”
Misa “I imagine this is just as hard on you as it is me. You two were so close, I've never seen Hashi-kun so close to anybody before”
Tobirama “You're close enough to call him Hashi-kun, he only ever let mother call him that, he used to beat me up when we were kids for calling him that. He's still not to fond of it”
Misa “I guess so (Begins to cry)
Tobirama “Please Misa don't cry...I don't know what to do”
Misa “Hashi-kun always knew how to stop me from crying...now I'm crying because of him”
Tobirama “How did he do it...you're my sister now and I have to take care of you and your baby until my brother comes back”
Misa “Tobi-kun you're a good person...I know the stress you're under having to deal with village and your brother being here. Everything is a mess and it's just so depressing. I care about you too and that's why seeing the most important people to me going through so much pain hurts me so much”
Tobirama “Misa-chan...”
Suddenly a warm touch wipes away the tears of Misa and she opens her eyes to see Hashirama awake. His eyes open slightly and both Misa and Tobirama become ecstatic.
Hashirama “Misa-chan...you look beautiful...Tobi you look...exhausted”
Tobirama “I am, acting Hokage isn't exactly easy. I take back everything I said before...I'll go get the medics and tell them you're awake”
Hashirama “No...I have to tell you something important first...both of you”
Tobirama “What is it?”
Hashirama “Tobi...I was meditating...trying to regain my strength...I saw things, I saw great things and I believe them to be the future...I see you leading this village as a great Hokage, even greater then me. I also see a great deal of hardships in the village's future...But you manage to get through them...you create something inside of Konoha. You create something that burns in the hearts of all our people...something that will live on long after your time...I also see my darling wife next to me and I see a wonderful daughter who will do great things as well...that's why I've decided I want you to be my successor”
Tobirama “Of coarse but not now, there's still so many things you have to do. I mean we, have to do. When you recover we'll handle things here and then when you decide to retire I'll take responsibility and~”
Hashirama “No...Tobi, I unlocked something...I unlocked a power that I can't use here in this world...a power that allows me to see our village's future. It's a power...that I've decided is more important...for the village, I have given myself to it and that means that I can no longer remain here...I have to move on if I'm to use this”
Misa and Tobirama's faces turn dark and fearful at the statement.
Tobirama “Hashi...you can't leave...you just can't leave not now. I still need you!”
Misa “Hashi-kun what about what you just said about you and I...what about us standing together with our daughter?”
Hashirama “My dear Misa...I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry to put you and Tobi in this much pain but you have to understand...this is for Konoha, and for you as well. The wills of our people have been weakened...and the only way I can help is from the afterlife...I've spoken with the Shinigami...I've already agreed to welcome him to my soul and take my life. He gave me this last request to speak with you two before I depart. When your time comes...you will understand what I have chosen and you may in time come to forgive me...I love you both with all my heart and I can understand if you resent me for this now...I'm sorry”
Tobirama “Stop talking like this! You're not going to die!”
Hashirama “Tobi...you are Hokage now...I have only one thing I have to say to you...never loose faith in Konoha...I know not the whole future of our village until I pass but it can always be changed...I hope that you always hold true brother...I won't scold you this time for calling me Hashi...It's funny, even though it's summer if feels like winter...Konoha is so cold and lifeless now...goodby Tobi, Misa”
Hashirama closes his eyes and with his last words to his brother and Misa they both break down in tears...a week later Misa gives birth to her baby girl however due to her depression about loosing Hashirama she dies shortly after giving birth. Tobirama decides to keep Misa's name alive in her new child and dedicates his life to that last remaining piece of his brother and his sister. After Hashirama's death candidacy for Hokage is voted on by the council. Tobirama gets the vote of the jounin council and the blessing of the Daimyou of the Land of Fire. Tobirama Senju is Nidaime Hokage.
Love “No Danzo. Just because we agree on some of the same points doesn't mean that I want to join this little faction you've created. I have my own ambitions for this village, just as you've had yours with Root”
Danzo “And what might those be?”
Love “If I wanted you to know, so you could keep an eye on me I would've agreed to join Root but never the less It's best to distance ourselves from one another. That way in the chance that either one gets in the others way, it can be disputed...on even terms”
Danzo “Very well as you wish, just remember, you're the one who asked for it”
The two shinobi stand side by side in a large platform in the center of an underground room with four bridges from the platform. The foundation of an underground base...the location of Root, an organization of Anbu shinobi completely devoted to Danzo. Root consists of nobody, it does not exist, the shinobi who fight for it do not exist. They have no name, no face, no emotion. They are true shinobi and they're goals are Danzo's goals, the safety and preservation of Konoha. Love, only an associate however looks for his own way to better defend Konoha. Two associates, two different methods, neither are allied. In these underground organizations...there are no comrades.

Tobirama “Protect the citizens and get them to the safe houses in the mountain, set up a barrier and keep guard, they are our prime concern”
General “Yes sir, and what about Shodai-sama?”
Tobirama “I have no idea where he is. I saw him rush out the moment he saw Madara. My brother is not the kind of guy to just rush head first into things, if he bolted like that after Madara, then something must be wrong. I need to make sure the village is secure first before I go and help him”
General “Should I send a task force after him to aid him?”
Tobirama “Those two are two of the strongest shinobi in existence at this point in time. Sending help will only hinder my brother, Madara's powers can only be dealt with by Hashirama. I'm probably the closest in ability to make a difference but quite frankly I would probably be killed in the cross fire”
General “I understand sir”
The shinobi leaves to handle the security of the civilians while Tobirama stands on the top of the Hokage residence watching as shinobi run frantically trying to deal with the Uchiha rebels. The village has became a battle field and the Uchihas exploit the weaknesses of the shinobi by use of their Sharingan. Being able to read their opponents abilities and accommodate to them. They force long ranged fighters to fight close and personal. They keep close range fighters at bay with long ranged attacks. The Uchihas work together in exploiting the nature weaknesses of each shinobi. Sending water to douse fire, lightning to ground earth, complimenting water and lightning to cause massive damage. Truly the Uchiha are powerful shinobi. The village has them outnumbered almost 10:1 and yet not one single Uchiha has been taken down yet.
Tobirama “*Madara there's no way you're stupid enough to fight us with such pitiful numbers, even if your clan is elite...what the hell are you planning?*”
Two shinobi fight side by side against four shinobi, who've multiplied their numbers using the shadow clone technique.
Love “Danzo, you're a wind affinity right?”
Danzo “What does that have to do with anything?”
Love “I've seen how they've been fighting. They're going to keep us at a distance since we both fight close range”
Danzo “Then we have to figure out which ones are the real shinobi and draw them out”
Love “You make it sound easier then it actually is”
Suddenly four of the shinobi clones lash out about a dozen shuriken towards the two shinobi. Danzo takes out a kunai and deflects from his end while Love uses his katana to cut down those on his half. Love uses lightning fast speed and leaps up and takes down three of the clones of one shinobi, while Danzo gets himself close enough to cut down one of the clones with his kunai. The gap between the two shinobi increases and a few of the clones leap into that gap officially cutting them off from one another and surrounding them.
Uchiha 1 “Doton: Doryuuha (Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave)
A large pile of earth and stones form up under the user. As he stands on top of the formation he allows it to lash out almost like a snake at Love. The jutsu also branches off and can attack from different angles. Love evades the jutsu as best he can but can't keep up with it's speed. He gets caught and is forced to block with his blade. He manages to enhance the density of his blade with his chakra before impact and as the earth hits, he slides back quickly recovering from the blow...the Uchihas on Danzo's side use their fire affinities to combat his wind style. Danzo's reflexes however are not as fine tuned as Love's and he can't evade the attacks as well. Danzo gets caught in a large burst of fire, but he manages to emerge from it alive. Despite this fact Danzo's body remains chard and he feels intense pain, unable to move immediately after the attack. One of the clones gets behind Danzo and swings a kunai. Danzo reacts but not quick enough to evade the strike and he's cut severely near his left kidney. He lands far enough away from the shinobi but quickly drops to his knee, holding his side, which bleeds out rapidly. Danzo pants heavily, his body burnt and a fatal organ bleeding out painfully. The Uchiha and the clones facing Danzo make the seals for a combination fire technique to finish him off however Danzo has reached his limit.
Love “Danzo get up!”
The large flames of 6 combined fireball techniques rage towards Danzo.
Miyagi “Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Release: Water Encampment Wall)
A large wall of water emerges in front of Danzo and it extinguishes the fires and causes massive steam to rise.
Uchiha 2 “Damn it I can't see”
Suddenly from the steam a large stream of water shoots out towards the shinobi and it hits him however it's a clone of the real one. A short white haired man stands next to Danzo. Miyagi Kotetsu protected a wounded Danzo from certain death.
Danzo “Miyagi?”
Miyagi “I won't hear it Danzo, I won't accept thanks for saving you”
Danzo “You idiot this isn't a jok~”
Miyagi “Alright if you insist I will let you buy me dinner after this but now's the time to pick your ass up get out of here”
Danzo “Are you crazy, I'm not leaving, you guys are still outnumbered”
Miyagi “If I have to keep saving you you'll just make it harder and besides if anymore blood comes out you're going to die quick”
Danzo staggers up and reluctantly leaves the battle field leaving just Love and Miyagi.
Love “Miyagi, these guys will read your techniques and fight you based on your weakness”
Miyagi “I know, how to fight an Uchiha Love”
At that precise moment Miyagi is struck down with multiple shuriken to the head and body. However Miyagi appears behind the Uchiha with his hand on his shoulder.
Miyagi “I know their weakness is their Sharingan's inability to react fast enough to see and react to movements that they're own body can't keep up with. You're pretty fast Love you should make that work for you like I do”
The Uchiha reacts surprised at the speed of Miyagi and as he turns his head around he's struck through the heart by Miyagi. Suddenly four shadow clones disappear revealing that the shinobi killed was the real individual. Miyagi's cheerful and pleasant face turns serious and he makes five hand seals.
Miyagi “Kobura Tsume (Cobra's Claw)
Miyagi vanishes and in a split second multiple clones and two the real shinobi disappears/spurt blood from their torsos and die. The technique used by Miyagi is a high speed ninjutsu technique that allows the user to move at a speed unseen to the naked eye. This speed combined with the use of a bladed weapon allows the user to attack their opponent unseen...Miyagi re-appears however he's panting heavily. The price of that jutsu is extreme fatigue after extended use even once is enough leave the user partially dazed.
Love “Miyagi you know what that does to you, stop trying to show off, save your energy for the rest to come”
By this time Love has taken Miyagi's advice and he's seen holding the last shinobi under his arm dead, yet he is slightly out of breath as well.
Miyagi “Do you think Danzo made it to the medical corp?”
Love “We can't worry about that right now we have to~”
Suddenly the ground begins to shake and a large cloud of smoke from the distance appears near forest of the village. From the smoke a great beast emerges with nine tails and an evil aura that sends cold chills up the spines of all the shinobi. The Kyuubi has been summoned and in the eyes of the Kyuubi are the Sharingan. Everybody is struck with fearful amazement, rebels and shinobi of Konoha alike.
Love “Is that?!
Miyagi “The Kyuubi...but how that beast should be inside the Jinchuuriki at Uzushiogakure”
Love “Only Madara has such an ability to control such a thing. To think...this was his true plan all along, he doesn't want to overthrow the village, he wants to completely obliterate it”
Tobirama looks amazed at this sight and suddenly his expression turns more serious then ever before. From his pouch on his leg he takes out a scroll and places his hand in the middle of the seal. A blade handle appears and Tobirama grabs hold of it. A stream of lightning comes out and in the general form of a blade. The Sword of the Thunder God, a blade that has been passed down to the leaders of the Senju clan for generations. Tobirama weilds it, having taken over as leader of his clan after Hashirama became Shodai Hokage, however Hashirama and the leaders before have never wielded this weapon as Tobirama has.
Tobirama “I have to get to Hashirama quick, before this gets any further”
Hashirama “*Tobi!, Tobi! If you can hear me you have to teleport us away from the village*”
Hashirama uses a telepathy technique to relay a message to his brother.
Tobirama “*I can't let you take this alone you have to let me help~*”
Hashirama “*Listen to me the only way you can help is by getting us as far away from the village as possible. Have faith that I can handle this, until you take care of the rest of the village now do as I say!*”
Tobirama closes his eyes and agrees with his brother. He holds his blade up and then a flash of lightning appears and Tobirama vanishes. Tobirama appears on top of a tree in the forests on the outside of Konoha with his brother, Madara and the Demon Fox in sight but he's still at a distance away from them. Tobirama makes multiple quick hand seals and makes the half tiger seal with one hand. In the distance Madara looks and see's Tobirama and his look intensifies and he clinches his fist
Madara “Hashirama you coward, you have your brother step in on our fight, and just when I thought you couldn't be more pathetic”
Hashirama “Who's pathetic, the shinobi who's using the village as a distraction or somebody who truly wishes this to be one on one. Tobi is only going to make that possible”
Madara “That cursed Sword of the Thunder God”
The lightning in the blade disappears and suddenly a large seal forms under Hashirama, Madara and the Kyuubi in the distance.
Tobirama “Ninpo: Kami Sochi no Jutsu! (Ninja art: God's Step Technique)
A large bolt of lightning strikes the seal and the three characters are sent miles away from Konoha. Konoha is nowhere in sight, only a large thick forest with a river a few more miles behind them. The technique used by Tobirama was a Space-Time manipulation technique. The seal found under the feet of the three characters was the detection while the lightning that struck only teleports those under the seal to another location, as far as the user can send them...Tobirama can no longer see his brother or Madara or the Kyuubi however he's extremely exhausted. Never before has he had to use that jutsu on the scale that he did. To teleport such a large area (thanks to the Kyuubi) to a distance as far as he did. Quit frankly he's used up a vast majority of his chakra just to take them away from the village. Tobirama's exhaustion catches up with him and he begins to fall. He catches a branch with his back as he falls and it cushions the fall however Tobirama is still unconscious. A shinobi appears and helps up the fallen shinobi and wakes him.
Shinobi “Tobirama-sama are you alright?”
Tobirama brushes the shinobi off the moment he gets his head back on straight and orders him to go back to the village and alert Mito Uzumaki. The shinobi obeys and then Tobirama picks up his blade and heads back into battle he uses his God's step jutsu on himself to instantly transport him into the village. Using it on a much smaller scale is more manageable to him yet the technique still requires a fair amount of chakra. Tobirama places his hand on the ground and uses a detection technique to decipher the locations of the rebels.
Tobirama “...there's a little under 60...I'm going to end this before now”
Tobirama begins using his God's step technique to teleport him to the locations of the Uchihas and takes them out quickly with the aid of his fellow shinobi. He uses the jutsu three more times to get him to the most heavy set battles to help those who really need it and then he decides to hold off on the technique. All the while A large unit of no less then a hundred shinobi, led by Mito Uzumaki head to the location where Tobirama transported Madara and Hashirama. Several minutes pass and the rebels have been defeated by the shinobi of Konoha.
Miyagi “Tobirama-sama, all the rebels have been taken out, there's also a unit of shinobi guarding the Uchiha residences and heading towards Shodai-sama”
Tobirama “Alright, I'm going to leave everything here to the rest of you guys. I have to help Hashirama”
Tobirama heads out to help his brother and the unit sent after them. As he gets closer and closer to the location of the battle he sees the devastating damage done to the field around him from the long ranged attacks of the Kyuubi and gets even more worried about his brother. By the time he gets to the battle the Kyuubi and the massive number of shinobi fighting it are the only ones seen.
Tobirama “Mito-chan where is Hashirama and Madara?”
Mito “When we had arrived Hashirama had broken the control Madara had on the beast and they headed towards the large body of water that way.”
Tobirama “I have to help him”
Mito “Wait, we need your help here. This is just too much for us”
Tobirama looks at the difficulty the shinobi have with the beast and he stays.
Shinobi “He about to use that attack again. Everybody brace yourselves”
Tobirama gets to the front and takes out his Thunder God Sword. He lifts it in the air just as the beast is about to use the Tailed Beast Bomb. The lightning from the blade extends into the sky creating the sound of thunder. Just as the beast shoots the bomb, Tobirama swings his blade and a large lightning wave intercepts the bomb, negating it and also causing a large amount of static, which stuns the beast.. The other shinobi stand aw struck at the display of power by Tobirama. Despite this impressive power Tobirama drops to his knees and falls again. His second most powerful technique Raiton: Raijin no Ken (Lightning Release: Sword of the Thunder God). Having used his two most powerful techniques to defend the village leaves Tobirama not only exhausted but near death as his chakra depletes rapidly at this moment.
Mito “Get him a medic and begin the sealing process while the beast is weakened!”
Mito takes the lead and multiple other shinobi surround the beast. They preform the Eight Trigrams method and suddenly a large seal emerges under the demon and from that a Cage springs up and holds the demon. The demon tries to break free but the shinobi remain strong in keeping up the seal.
Mito “We need...we need to seal this demon away quick before it breaks the seal.”
Shinobi “Mito-senpai...the woman's son...he has the same type of chakra she does and he has much more chakra then she does?”
Mito “He's only a child, there's no way...We can't do that to him not with both his parents dead, who's going to take care of him”
Shinobi “I'm sure Konoha will be able to look after him. It would be better seeing as they have more security then our village”
Mito “That's not what I meant at all...he'll loose any chance of being happy”
Shinobi “Mito-senpai if we don't do something soon we'll all die”
Mito reluctantly agrees and a few other members go to fetch the boy...After almost an hour the shinobi holding the seal become exhausted even for Uzumaki standards. The boy is brought to the field and his expression is dark and depressed however knowing that he now has a responsibility. The ceremonial bed of the Eight Trigrams method is set up and Shisui lays on the bed and the seal is engraved into his stomach. Mito then releases the seal on the Kyuubi, dropping the gates and as the cage drops chains are seen restraining the Kyuubi. Mito makes two hand seals and claps her hands together. Her faces tenses up showing the strain put on her to preform the technique. The chains restraining the Kyuubi begin to drag towards Shisui and the chakra chains enter through Shisui's seal which turns into a black whole allowing the chains and the Kyuubi to be sucked in. The Kyuubi tries his hardest to resist being sucked in but slowly and surely he is dragged.
Kyuubi “I'M NOT GOING TO BE SEALED INSIDE THIS BRAT!!”
The Kyuubi resists but eventually his body is swallowed by the black whole. As the Kyuubi enters his body Shisui begins to scream in pain. Once the Kyuubi is inside his body Mito places her hand on his stomach. Shisui's eyes turn red and in the shape of the Kyuubi's his teeth sharpen and his nails get longer symbolizing a transformation. A red chakra cloak begins to form around him and his skin begins to burn a become reddened with blood. Mito pours all her chakra into the seal and eventually the seal turns from a single whole back into the spiral patter with the seals around it. Mito drops to her hands and knees and Shisui begins to revert back to normal and then passes out...Tobirama is revived thanks to the medical efforts of the shinobi medics but he rushes to his feet and tries to head towards his brother.
Medical-nin “Tobirama-sama you shouldn't be so hasty you just got your strength back. You still need to rest”
Tobirama “I have to go to my brother...he needs me”
Tobirama heads out and he's followed by a small group of shinobi. Mito is helped up and the medic goes to her but she tells him that she's fine and she heads out with Tobirama. A few minutes pass and Mito catches up with the crowd. The shinobi stand there in aw at the sight of things. The battle field is littered with weapons devestated land around it and both shinobi lay spattered in blood. Tobirama runs to his brother and feels a faint pulse and the medics go to help him. However despite their efforts Hashirama doesn't wake. The medics check Madara and fell no pulse. Although they try to revive him he's pronounced dead. Hashirama however is in a coma. The battle was won however Hashirama paid a hefty price as well.
One Week Passes
Hashirama has yet to awaken from his coma and Tobirama was placed temporarily as leader until his brother was to awaken. A meeting has been called to deal with the situation at hand. The council is up in arms about what to do about the other members of the Uchiha clan. Although they didn't involve themselves in the coup attempt they knew about it and failed to reveal it to the council and the village has lost all trust in them after the actions taken by their leader.Councilman 1 “We have to expel the Uchiha from our village. They can't be trusted and they failed to report this coup attempt to the village.
Councilman 2 “They're also the reason for Shodai-sama's condition.
Tobirama “Lets all calm down we have to think rationally about this. The rest of the clan wasn't swayed by Madara, they kept out of it and they're not resisting anything at this point in time. They cooperated when we barraged their residences and they're answering all our questions~”
Councilman 2 “That's only because they have no choice. Who knows they could working to plan another attempt after this one. We're vulnerable now. We have to do what's best for the village.”
Councilman 3 “Wait, I agree with Tobirama-sama. The rest of the clan has been very helpful in revealing everything, and from what we can tell there is no signs of more plotting or resentment from their part. We can't rule them out bue I do believe that precautions should be set just as a safe guard. We are weak from this terrible mishap after all”
Councilman 4 “I agree”
Love “You're all being to lenient about this situation. We can't trust the Uchihas, that's a fact regardless of the rest of the clan's involvement or not. How can we trust the testimonies of them now”
Councilman 1 “That's right”
Love “I have a proposal”
Tobirama “What is it?”
Love “Torture”
The rest of the council falls silent at the extreme proposal by the shinobi.
Tobirama “No we can't~”
Danzo “I second it”
The rest of the group looks at Danzo as he walks in with his cane
Councilman 2 “Danzo-san aren't you supposed to be in the hospital still?”
Danzo “This is more important, and I agree 100% with Love on this matter. The Uchihas possess the powers to do this again. They also possess the ability to hide untruthfulness behind genjutsu, you all forget that one fact”
Tobirama “Torture is for enemies from outside nations, not comrades”
Danzo “You still call them comrades after what has been done, Have you already forgotten, it's only been a week”
Tobirama “Watch your tone Danzo”
Danzo “Comrades...comrades are buffers for missions, comrade is the term you use for people who assist you in an alliance, only to complete the mission that must be done for the village. The completion of our mission takes priority over our so called comrades, and our mission is to protect Konoha and bring it to its highest level of prosperity and maintain peace.”
Tobirama “What a misguided mind”
Love “Tobirama-sama, the proposal has been seconded therefor a vote is required...All in favor”
Reluctant hands raise however before anymore then three could raise Tobirama slams his hands down on the desk
Tobirama “I'm acting head of this council and I have final say. This proposal is thrown out. We are not resorting to torture of the Uchihas”
Danzo “With all due respect you're not yet the Hokage, Tobirama-sama”
Tobirama “Yet I have all the powers of the Hokage right now and I'm current candidate Nidaime Hokage so therefore I still have final say. This discussion is closed until further notice everybody is dismissed”
Tobirama's burst shows his anger towards Love and Danzo for such a though and also his overall fustration about the situation as a whole. What Danzo said was right, Tobirama isn't yet Hokage, nor does he want to be if it means through the death of his beloved brother. Tobirama's natural cheerfulness and peaceful side has begun to fall ever since the incident.
4 Months Pass
Four months have passed since the incident with the Uchihas. Meetings have been held day after day, week after week about what to do about the Uchihas, rebuilding, and appointing of an official Hokage leader. During this time Tobirama has become more and more under stress. Danzo and Love have been steadily gaining political influence over members of the council about drastic actions that they feel are necessary to the safety and security of Konoha. Although Tobirama has power to nullify their proposals the more followers they get the more support they get and it jeopardizes Tobirama's influence and his candidacy for becoming Hokage. Tobirama's worst fear is not just loosing his brother and becoming Hokage yet loosing his brother hand handing power over to radicals like Love and Danzo. As well during these months, Tobirama's establishments have began to grow. The Shinobi Academy, the Anbu black ops, the shinobi ranking system, all these have helped in the rebuilding of Konoha...During these months as well Tobirama consouls a pregnant Misa Senju, her sister-in-law.Tobirama “Misa you know you shouldn't be on your feet. You're almost due you know”
Tobirama enters the hospital room where Misa stands looking at her husband.
Misa “He's hasn't even moved in months...I'm just worried is all. I really don't want him to miss the birth of our child”
Tobirama “I'm just hoping that he pulls through so I don't have to keep dealing with all this”
Misa “So you're not even concerned if he's healthy when he wakes up?”
Tobirama “No, that's not what I meant, I just mean...*sigh* I do miss him, I'm just trying to be more cheerful”
Misa “I imagine this is just as hard on you as it is me. You two were so close, I've never seen Hashi-kun so close to anybody before”
Tobirama “You're close enough to call him Hashi-kun, he only ever let mother call him that, he used to beat me up when we were kids for calling him that. He's still not to fond of it”
Misa “I guess so (Begins to cry)
Tobirama “Please Misa don't cry...I don't know what to do”
Misa “Hashi-kun always knew how to stop me from crying...now I'm crying because of him”
Tobirama “How did he do it...you're my sister now and I have to take care of you and your baby until my brother comes back”
Misa “Tobi-kun you're a good person...I know the stress you're under having to deal with village and your brother being here. Everything is a mess and it's just so depressing. I care about you too and that's why seeing the most important people to me going through so much pain hurts me so much”
Tobirama “Misa-chan...”
Suddenly a warm touch wipes away the tears of Misa and she opens her eyes to see Hashirama awake. His eyes open slightly and both Misa and Tobirama become ecstatic.
Hashirama “Misa-chan...you look beautiful...Tobi you look...exhausted”
Tobirama “I am, acting Hokage isn't exactly easy. I take back everything I said before...I'll go get the medics and tell them you're awake”
Hashirama “No...I have to tell you something important first...both of you”
Tobirama “What is it?”
Hashirama “Tobi...I was meditating...trying to regain my strength...I saw things, I saw great things and I believe them to be the future...I see you leading this village as a great Hokage, even greater then me. I also see a great deal of hardships in the village's future...But you manage to get through them...you create something inside of Konoha. You create something that burns in the hearts of all our people...something that will live on long after your time...I also see my darling wife next to me and I see a wonderful daughter who will do great things as well...that's why I've decided I want you to be my successor”
Tobirama “Of coarse but not now, there's still so many things you have to do. I mean we, have to do. When you recover we'll handle things here and then when you decide to retire I'll take responsibility and~”
Hashirama “No...Tobi, I unlocked something...I unlocked a power that I can't use here in this world...a power that allows me to see our village's future. It's a power...that I've decided is more important...for the village, I have given myself to it and that means that I can no longer remain here...I have to move on if I'm to use this”
Misa and Tobirama's faces turn dark and fearful at the statement.
Tobirama “Hashi...you can't leave...you just can't leave not now. I still need you!”
Misa “Hashi-kun what about what you just said about you and I...what about us standing together with our daughter?”
Hashirama “My dear Misa...I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry to put you and Tobi in this much pain but you have to understand...this is for Konoha, and for you as well. The wills of our people have been weakened...and the only way I can help is from the afterlife...I've spoken with the Shinigami...I've already agreed to welcome him to my soul and take my life. He gave me this last request to speak with you two before I depart. When your time comes...you will understand what I have chosen and you may in time come to forgive me...I love you both with all my heart and I can understand if you resent me for this now...I'm sorry”
Tobirama “Stop talking like this! You're not going to die!”
Hashirama “Tobi...you are Hokage now...I have only one thing I have to say to you...never loose faith in Konoha...I know not the whole future of our village until I pass but it can always be changed...I hope that you always hold true brother...I won't scold you this time for calling me Hashi...It's funny, even though it's summer if feels like winter...Konoha is so cold and lifeless now...goodby Tobi, Misa”
Hashirama closes his eyes and with his last words to his brother and Misa they both break down in tears...a week later Misa gives birth to her baby girl however due to her depression about loosing Hashirama she dies shortly after giving birth. Tobirama decides to keep Misa's name alive in her new child and dedicates his life to that last remaining piece of his brother and his sister. After Hashirama's death candidacy for Hokage is voted on by the council. Tobirama gets the vote of the jounin council and the blessing of the Daimyou of the Land of Fire. Tobirama Senju is Nidaime Hokage.
Present Day
Danzo “Love you should join Root, I have no intentions on making you work under me”Love “No Danzo. Just because we agree on some of the same points doesn't mean that I want to join this little faction you've created. I have my own ambitions for this village, just as you've had yours with Root”
Danzo “And what might those be?”
Love “If I wanted you to know, so you could keep an eye on me I would've agreed to join Root but never the less It's best to distance ourselves from one another. That way in the chance that either one gets in the others way, it can be disputed...on even terms”
Danzo “Very well as you wish, just remember, you're the one who asked for it”
The two shinobi stand side by side in a large platform in the center of an underground room with four bridges from the platform. The foundation of an underground base...the location of Root, an organization of Anbu shinobi completely devoted to Danzo. Root consists of nobody, it does not exist, the shinobi who fight for it do not exist. They have no name, no face, no emotion. They are true shinobi and they're goals are Danzo's goals, the safety and preservation of Konoha. Love, only an associate however looks for his own way to better defend Konoha. Two associates, two different methods, neither are allied. In these underground organizations...there are no comrades.
