Not necessarily. More doesn't always mean better. Adding more doesn't always work.

As for your work, I really don't know how to put this. I hate telling people their work sucks It's okay in terms of a first time using photoshop. It shows you have some knowledge in using brushes, gradients and some sense of alignment, but that's about it. There is a lot you can improve on, so long as you stay consistent with it, and keep working at it. Trust me, no one ever starts off good at graphics, not me, not anyone.

Just think of it like this. It's your first piece, so there's no way that you're going to be brilliant right off the bat. Practice using Photoshop, learn skills, look up tutorials and ask people for advice. It's the best way you'll improve.

As some of the people stated above, it is sort of empty. It needs some sort of effects wether it be smudging, fractals, star stocks, C4D's Wire Frames, etc... Just look up tutorials on google or deviant art so that way, you can get better.
