......this whole gaiden would seem pointless if we focus on the baby momma drama....but when you look at it holistically and recognize that the bonds theme didn't only pertain to parental bonds, is wasn't half bad...
....the familial bonds theme didn't pertain to just Sarada, but to the bonds that the Uchiha family, Taka members, and Naruto formed over the years.....that's why the fake ass pic from chapter 1 was laid over the Taka pic bc even after all the years that passed there remained a bond between the Uchihas and Taka and that bond was reaffirmed in this chapter with Karin's glasses and her and Sakura being revealed to have formed a friendship........so though none of these characters had bonds of blood, their bonds ran deep....
So Sarada's glasses are a representation of the remaining bonds between Sasuke and Karin (and Taka as a whole I guess)......so this is Kishi's way of acknowledging Taka's role in Sasuke's past....I'm glad he didn't just cast them aside....especially Karin bc she was a down ass, loyal chick.....too ****ing loyal....
....as for Karin, it wouldn't be me, but I guess it was mature of her and somewhat admirable in the abstract.........I guess......but everything's STILL aaaalll about Sasuke.....and why keep the umbilical cord though as opposed to a picture or something?.......the umbilical cord is a momento of what?......Sasuke? ....he new found bond with Sakura?.......of being part of this sacred moment of helping to bring the child of the man she loves and another chick into the world?.......I'll take the latter.....
And I guess Sasuke doesn't need to spend any time with his wife or show her affection bc he already gave her a representation of his love: his D and subsequently his seed?......a child between man and woman: the ULTIMATE BOND......ok, I get it....
