Basic Information
Name: Ryūji Suguro (勝呂 竜士, Suguro Ryūji)
Nickname: Bon
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Clan: Supernova clan (超新星一族, Chōshinsei Ichizoku)
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Best Trait: Memorization
Looks
Bon is an adolescent boy with a rough exterior and well as a small goatee on his chin. Bon's most distinguishable physical traits are his stern expression giving him a scary, unapproachable appearance and the large blonde streak that runs down his natural short and messy dark brown hair. Bon also has multiple piercings in his ears, which combined with his demeanor and hairstyle, make him appear like a typical delinquent. He wears a beige-colored vest that has a pink 'V' at the neck of it, with a base brown colored tie that has black and white stripes, which he wears underneath the Academy's jacket.
Personality
Though his appearance is rebellious, his personality is the exact opposite of his appearance. He's stern and takes everything seriously or too seriously as Konekomaru stated. His hardworking streak comes from his desire to defeat Akatsuki for turning his temple into a cursed temple in the eyes of the public. He is shown to dislike people who don't work hard and slack off during classes, such as Rin who occasionally slept in class and Bon telling him to just get lost because everyone in class was serious about being a shinobi. He dislikes it when people look down on him, an emotion triggered because of his childhood where people called him the child of the cursed temple. He is a very strong willed and determined person as shown when he was ready to face some fodder ninja just to show just how determined he was to become a shinobi.
However, there is a different side in his personality as well. He constantly gets into fights with Izumo and Rin usually because of their different views. He can be quite immature as shown when he fights with Rin for small reasons such as food. He can be calm and collected and he can be bad tempered and violent in other times. He is said to be so similar to Rin that they don't get along because of it.
He's a prodigy and entered the same school under the same scholarship as Yukio, known to be the youngest shinobi to pass the academy in years. He is a top student in his class and gets 98 out of 100 in tests. He can also seem to memorize things easily as it's shown that he can remember the entire shinobi code, which consists of 1,345 pages.

History
Before Ryūji could even walk or talk, the temple where he lived was attacked by the Akatsuki; this event was to be forever referred to as the Blue Night. As the years passed, Ryūji was constantly being talked to the point where nobody wanted to be near him or have any business with him. He began to hate the Akatsuki and it was at that time he went up to his father and told him that he was going to become an shinobi and make his goal to defeat the Akatsuki, only to be laughed at by his own father.
Konoha Academy Arc
In the beginning, Ryūji hated Rin because he believed that Rin didn't take the classes seriously enough because he was always falling asleep. When Shiemi entered the cram school, they were seen to be pretty close to each other, which simply irritated Ryūji even more.
During their outdoor training class, Ryūji and Rin are pitted against each other in a marathon, whilst constantly being chased by a Giant Killer Toad. Ryūji almost got attacked by the Giant Killer Toad so their professor stopped it then lectures Ryūji. Ryūji asks the Professor the reason why he is the only one being lectured, he was told that Rin is a 'special' case because he is entered personally by the Hokage. Later, someone came to inform the Professor about an incident which resulted in him leaving the class and telling them to self-study.
While their professor is away, Ryūji, unable to stop his anger, challenged Rin on a contest about facing the Giant Killer Toad to prove his resolve. Ryūji's dream is to defeat the Akatsuki and that is the source of his resolve, Shima and Konekomaru told their classmates about his dream, Rin related to it but Izumo laughed at him which shook his resolve. He angered the Giant Killer Toad and he almost got attacked. Fortunately, Rin came to his aid and protected him. However, after Rin saving him from the Giant Killer Toad, gained a sort of respect for him, though the two still argued frequently.

Training Camp Arc
Whilst on a survival camping trip, Ryūji was seen to be complaining about the hot weather and recognizing Yukio as "inhuman" as that he was able to endure the heat in his cloak. After setting up their tents, Rin cooked dinner. Ryūji was amazed at Rin's cooking skills and was immediately shocked and unusually complimenting him.
Minutes before the Forest Exam started, Ryūji hearing that there are only three permissions given for the ability to go on missions, he picked out of the test as putting each other as enemies, "Every man for himself, is the correct answer here, no helping each other." was what Ryūji said repeatedly before. But as soon as the exam started, Ryūji heard Shiemi's scream, making him turning to help her without hesitation. As he neared Shiemi, a blue light lit up blinding him. As the light disappeared, he saw Rin saving Shiemi mere moments before he had the chance to. Confused, Ryūji asks if the light was Rin, not yet knowing his real identity.

Leaving Konoha Arc
Whilst coming home from a mission one day, Ryūji was told that Rin had betrayed and left the village. Feeling his heart sink, Ryūji cries for his dear friend. He then resolves within himself that he would go and look for him for news had spread that he had died. Ryūji believed that Rin wasn't the type to go down so easily. So he left Konoha, distress in his heart, and wandered to the land of water. There he set up a base, after being allowed to become a Kirigakure-nin, and begin compiling information as to his whereabouts. Whilst in Kirigakure, using his unique wisdom, Ryūji set up and academy for other ninja to help them grow up to be stronger. He taught them his unique knowledge he had acquired over the years hoping they would utilize it well and one day surpass him. Ryūji hopes that one day he will meet Rin and catch up on old times. Road to Supernova
While on a trip to help other shinobi, Ryūji set out to a coast town in Kirigakure. He found a hill above a small humble town. Upon the hills he found an uninhabited house which looked like it had been abandoned for a short while. He took it as refuge from the rain and decided to stay there for a while. When the rain had subsided he went down to the humble town and talked with the elder. He proposed he would teach its people about ninjutsu and how to fight. They welcomed him with open arms and soon became a very well respected guest. People would come at night to his cabin and listen to his stories as they sat outside around a bonfire. Ryūji grew to love the people there and vowed he would stay for a while more.
One day, upon chance, the elder introduced Ryūji to a rather strange man. He was tall, bright, and handsome. In the eyes of Bon, this man was a god. Contrary to his powerful presence, the man was very kind and during many of Ryūji's sessions would correct him and add pointers. The man was named Goku and in time he shared a little about his life with Ryūji. Goku saw much potential in him but was mostly silent, watching him in the shadows. Until one day the village was attacked. Ryūji fought off most of them but had lost too much chakra to continue. He cursed his own weakness and cried because he couldn't save the village. Goku, out of nowhere, came and rescued Ryūji and saved the town. His skills were as impressive as his presence. He didn't break a sweat or shed a tear of blood. No scratches or anything. Ryūji shortly collapsed from exhaustion, seeing the image of Goku as he had won.
Afterwards, having compassion on the boy, Goku talked with Ryūji about teaching him to something special. Feeling grateful for the man's generosity, Ryūji accepted and the two began to train intensely, hoping that one day he could attain such power to protect those he loves.

Trained Monk
Being trained by monks throughout his life, Ryūji has learned many things and has adapted to viewing things in a spiritual manner. His fighting resembles that aspect as he believes that one can feel an opponent's soul through fighting. Ryūji trains both his mind and body to be ready to take on any challenge that comes his way. As such, Ryūji has become very astute and a great strategist in battle and out. One can only hope they never meet his wrath in battle for their end would be nigh.
Hand-to-Hand Combat
Bon carries with him a set of gloves that have some extra padding to soften the impact from landing blows to his opponents. This extra padding helps him deliver more blows without the exhaustion to his knuckles. He is not a master yet but he trains hard everyday to get better at his preferred method of fighting, one on one.
