I haven't seen a single adult sketch of Sasuke smiling lol. Naruto and Sasuke backgrounds are normal (kyuubi/susano'o/chakra / whatevs') but could there me some symbolism or foreshadowing in Boruto/Sarada's pattern backgrounds?

Where is sakura?

Not a protagonist in this film, although she'll appear frequently. The Gaiden however, was focused around her and Akatsuki revival.

Also Sarada is supposed to know medicine in the film so sakura will be less needed. This will work better because it gives more time and space for developing Sasuke and Sarada who really need it
