Hello, do you feel you have the authority to comment on another persons body. Whether the battery be appealing or not to hear taste . Do you think it's appropriate to say that someone is too fat, or too skinny. Do you think it's appropriate to comment on a specific feature of someone body because it's large or small or even abnormal? Who is to say what is appropriate for a body and what isn't. Correct me if I'm wrong but the body has no specific model to abide by.

Well no one has the right but people still do it anyways.

Heck people even make fun of disabled people.

The only solution to this is just feel comfortable with your body and ignore the idiots who pass comments.

I think it's society.
It's telling us that we have to look a certain way in order to be excepted, it is wrong .

Everyone has its own taste and opinion about beauty that depends on individual. But if someone is fat or skinny that is a fact no one can change.
So your opinion, it is an influenced on society at all. I'm sure you might find something appealing that is it socially acceptable

Even if it's a fact. Some people have no control over it. Some people suffer from some disease and can't gain weight or some can't loose it. And it only hurts them.
Well no one should insult others in any way possible. You have right to have your own opinion but would you keep it for yourself or not thats what is important.

You should not care about society and their opinion. I mean for real why should you care about opinion of some people who dont have any role or importance in your life.

You should only care about your family and close friend opinion.

Who you think you are is totally dependent on what others tell you you are. Thats the root problem. Fix that and what others say won't matter.

If you're fat and you post a picture of yourself hoping for nice comments while calling yourself thick and curvy which is only something women do, then don't get mad when people tell you the truth. The only people who get mad about this body shaming stuff are women who are obese and need to lose weight but can't do it with people encouraging them to take pride in their fatness.

If someone is in the condition where the body is not healthy and they are able to change that by changing their lifestyle then yes they should be "shamed". If you are overweight then you should at least try to make sure you are as healthy as you can be and same thing if you are underweight.

This culture of body shaming is for people who get bullied for wide noses, skin tone, hair texture, height and etc. There's no reason we should be advocating for people who are 400 pounds and their heart can barely pump blood through their damn arteries.

And by shamed I do not mean calling them fat f-cks or twigs. I mean by letting them know that their weight is not acceptable and it needs to be changed.

If you tell me that we shouldn't discriminate against overweight or underweight people I'm all for it. But when people glorify fat and start with idiotic clichés like "bones to the dogs" then there's something wrong with that

As long as a person is healthy being or fat or skinny, everything is ok. And everyone can tell his oppinion about how someone is looking, without making that someone ashamed if it is the truth. Unfortunately usually people are exaggerating and the people who are noy so far from the society's standards are bullied :|.

Our society made from physical appereance a very important thing and made some standards who fits just a small part of humans.
For example 90-60-90 at 180 height is almost impossible but it is what we always see in movies and fashion. The first perfect body who's almost these sizes had less than 170 and that's why Venus (the armless statue from Louvre Museum) is looking so normal, slim but not skinny. Looking at her we can see the evolution of society standards for a Euopean's woman body.
