No :facepalm: you had to say he created a gigantic rock sphere [etc.], and sealed the Jubi in it which became the moon; you said he basically put the Jubi inside the moon - i.e. like it had been there BEFORE, which according the text it hadn't xd
like i said, i thought it was common knowledge that the So6P created the moon... so i thought that any competent person would realize what i was saying... obviously not...

you're right about this I always thought he probably divided the chakra into nine beasts first, but then that would mean the body of the tailed beast wouldn't be there to put in a moon. Or it could be that the body is still there just with no chakra and the chakra itself created nine bodies.
i could have agree with you too, but when i re-read the manga you have posted as link, i think the blasted word there means pushed up to the sky...because of the preceding words and i quote, "and with that chakra removed, its(juubi) actual body was sealed away and blasted into the sky, where its power could not reach", unquote, so understanding this statement it was sealed and blasted into the sky, you cannot blast it, as in split it into pieces a sealed body...though, i would agree to you that it was not stated there that the rikudo sennin used chibaku tensei...but as you can see...please review one of Pains Six Paths...it can create a sealing technique that resembles that of the moon as posted by Mugiwara (Mugi could have just thought of this, too)...don't be confused of the earth in real world and the narutoverse....if indeed the rikudo sennin used chibaku tensei then the crater that you are referring to is now invisible due to the fact that it was created ages ago so with environmental changes taking place in narutoverse, who would know where it is now....
remember that chakra is made up of physical and mental energies, they are energies..ok, your body can create chakra by combining these two factors, mental and physical energies. now, when you are exhausted with chakra, you die,,,,when rikudo sennin removed the chakra(physical and mental energies) of the juubi, the juubi died...but the body is still there....so this body was sealed and blasted into the sky that its power could not reach...
