What is the general publics opinion on this anime?
I just finished it and thought it was kinda mediocre imo which is a let down since so many people were reccomending it
Some episodes felt like filler,the Shimi w/e chick was annoying,I could never look the eyebrow chick in the face since the brows looked so weird,lots of friendship powah stuff,Satan was underwhelming etc

I know the anime takes a different route from the manga so is it worth a read?

Read the manga it's way more epic , anime ended with a filler if I am not mistaking

Manga is OK. Shimi has turned out to be quite capable on her own...but the manga is monthly. So it' all fun while catching up but once you do, it seems you are waiting forever. Maybe you can read it one arc at a time basis and then wait the next arc to finish before starting it.
