[Discussion] Blue exorcist is better as manga or as anime?

So, I just ended its animated form and I really liked it, then I learned that it's half filler lol, doens't matter. My question is for those who have also read the manga. Do you think it's worth reading it? Is it better than the anime or just mediocre.


I have one more question. Should I also read the whole manga from the beginning? I heard there are significant differences in how anime treats certain events such as the cause behind of Blue Night.

I never read it, but it is ongoing apparently. I know that it's supposed to be different than the anime

The anime for me was honestly just a 7/10 show.

I don't have such problem, it will be just a little difficult to get used to it since it basically is a complete different storyline, I did like though anime's ending.

The manga is far better - the anime is good but it goes off into a different plot after Mephisto's trial, on top of this, the manga is ongoing, so overall there is more material in the manga since the anime was quite short.

I still loved the anime though.

So Yukio afterall doesn't have the same power as Rin? XD

I love the anime so much because of great soundtrack, animation, and they add some great impactful moment, but however half of this series were fillers and even to was good, the manga did better in my opinion, it's still ongoing and things are really interesting right now.

I wanted to know this as well, I'm barely getting into the series.
The anime did well on designing the characters, however I've decided to read all manga volumes and just watch a few episodes.
