“You didn’t honestly believe that I’d do this and be your friend, right?” He transformed into a giant snake, breaking the restraints on him, and escaped through the now broken window. Before he descended, he shouted, “Later, freak!” as the house exploded, and burst into flames.
Ki shouted, “Damn!” as he landed on top of the water outside. He could hear his teammates’ screams as they were reduced to ash in the house. ‘Where could she have died?’ He thought for a long time before realizing it. ‘Of course!’ {End}

‘They told me to never come here, but I’m the feudal lord, and Kusakage! I can do whatever I want! Dad died here, so this must be mother’s resting place too’
A ruined palace sat in front of him. Rubble fell in the distance, and he entered the scorched structure. ‘So, this was where my parents lived, when father was feudal lord and Kusakage. This is where he killed himself and her’

He stopped at a decaying portrait of a man and woman. They had solemn faces, but the baby the woman held was blissful as can be. The father’s eyes had scars and the mother’s were white as snow. ‘Who…is this?’
“Why it’s you silly, and us of course,” the woman in the painting said. Ki jumped back frightened.
“Mother? I thought you were a…Hollow!”
“Don’t say such things…it’s been a long time, my boy,” she responded as she began to cry. She held out her arm, which came out of the portrait. “Come here son, so I can explain” He edge closer, and then grabbed her warm, and loving hand. He began to weep as she hugged him closely. “I love you so much”

Her teeth became fangs, she strangled Ki tightly, the portrait split in two, her body became monstrous, and her face became a mask. “LET ME DEVOUR YOUR SOUL, BOY!” Ki couldn’t breath and was becoming blue.
“Mo-ther.. stop”
A man flew in and sliced her arms off, and Ki fell to the ground. He was wearing a peculiar black robe. The monster screeching in terror, “Shinigami?”
Ki: ‘What’s that?’

Man: “That’s right! I’m from Division 4, and-“
It interrupted, “Never mind then”
Man: “WHAT’S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?” It turned and swung its tail hitting the man hard against the wall. “OOOOWWWWWW!!!!”
Hollow: “Only a 4th division for me? What are they thinking?”
Man: “Shut up! I’m a 4th division who will kick your ass!” He swung his sword , but was knocked again by the tail against the wall.
“I thought the first time was pathetic, but really, twice?” Kibou murmured.
“You!” the robed misfit ran to Ki with a bloody nose, “Can you see me?” He hand gestures in front of Ki’s face.
Ki: “YES I CAN! STOP WITH THE ANNOYING HAND GESTURES!”
Man: “OOOOH! You are a SPECIAL human!”
Ki: “Stop with the special crap! What is a shingami?”
Man: “A Death God that-“ The tail knocked away again.
Hollow: “Did you two forget about me? I am here to DEVOUR YOUR SOUL!”

She tried to grab Ki, but he jumped away. He continued to dodge attacks, and then threw kunais with explosive tags, which caused rubble to block the Hollow’s path from reaching the shinigami. Man: “Kid, I don’t deserve to be a shinigami…”
Ki: “Yup, you don’t!”
Man: “SHUT UP! YOU JUST RUINED THE MOMENT! Anyway, I’ll let you die, you can become a shinigami! It’s better than me giving you my powers; that’s a felony!”
Ki: “Well, let me help you up…”
Man: “Ok, thanks! I’m gonna put all my reiatsu into this next attack!” Ki took his hand and started to glow, “BASTARD! YOU TRICKED ME! LET GO!”
Ki: “If it’ll save my mother,” he pointed at the Hollow that was breaking through the rubble wall, “I’ll steal a useless shinigami’s powers!”
Man: “Hey!”
Ki: “I’ll make it up to you, especially if you want to be my guide”
Man: “You have the audacity to take my powers, then want me to help you too?”
Ki: “It’ll give you fame, and I’ll provide my palace to you”
Man: “I am not materialistic”
Ki: “And my harem of women”
Man: “SOLD!”
Ki: “So, you’re not materialistic, but you’re a pervert! Thought so!” Ki now appeared in a black robe, while the man was not. He wasn’t in his body anymore. Ki had become a spirit, a shinigami!
Man: “SHUT UP! IT’S COMING!”
Ki sprinted at the Hollow with a sword in hand and said, “OOOHH! COOL SWORD!” then leapt to the Hollow, but was knocked down by the tail.
Man: “HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKS!”
Ki: “I’ll just use my Mangekyo-“ Ki’s spirit returned to his body, and the man, carrying his body, ran off.
Man: “Take me to your palace, kid”
What did you think? I know it’s cliché, but how else could he have fought shinigami without being one? (and didn’t want to overpower him and make him one from Hollowification) I also tried to make it funny because my last fanfic was very dark and gloomy. Please tell me if it wasn’t…
