Character-wise? Yeah but no, Historia got one arc (the worst one) of relevancy then become non-existent while Guts has an entire manga dedicated to his story and is probably one of the most well written character in entire fiction. The comparison is almost insulting tbf.

Everything around Guts is bliss. The writing, the art, his growth.. I freaking love Berserk. Even the movies are great!

Berserk is, in my opinion, the closest you will get to a 10/10 manga. It's fantastic in so many levels and Guts.. there's so many things to say about his character but I think Soul Madness already explained why Guts is so well written. In case, you are interested.

I agree about the movies, despite the shit CGI they are good, also the anime of 1997 is very good too. BTW, if you like Berserk there's a new project coming soon -

Berserk got nominated multiples times and won the Tezuka Osamu (Award for Excellence) something Naruto and surely Boruto never achieved. Just like Araki (Jojo's), Miura is considered a legend in Japan.

Also your argument is really shitty to be honest, Kingdom anime is full of CGI and yet it's one of the most popular manga in Japan. :hyper: I can't say the same about Boruto though, the sales are heavily declining and the anime ratings are shit :/
