Judging by the look on the strangers face, he will not sit and for a formal chat and instead wants to kill Yamato. As usual, he lets his opponent make the first move. Just as he does, he does only one handseal (due to mastery) and spews out a large fireball which evaporates some of the water and because of the force of the fireball, sends him to long range from his opponent.

I guess it doesn't.
Guren: Resistance Is Futile!
As i see my opponent move into long range of me due to the force of his previous technique i see him sending fireballs towards the sky and guren immediately without the usage of any handseals causes water to open up in the sky and fall down 5 meters above the fireball negating it in the process. Guren then performs two handseals in quick succesions and creates a swamp around you short range of you, which sinks you deep into the ground, as you sink deep into the ground and are stuck in the mud, guren uses this to her advantage and creates 2 pillars of earth from your opposite directions which smash itself together with you in the middle, crushing you.

Yamato sighs as his fireballs are extinguished by a summoned wave of water. As the D-Rank water heads for him, he throws two explosive kunais at the water and detonates it, thus resulting in the dispersion of the water. The nanosecond he let go of the two explosive kunais, an irritated Yamato does the exact same to his opponent; he summons a large wave of water above his opponent before he could start/finish his hand-seals. As his opponent deals with this, he does two swift hand-seals and claps his palms together to creates a supply of mokuton chakra through the fusion of doton chakra in one palm and suiton in the other. Once he has done this he creates several hundred compact trees around his opponent. Having done this, Yamato violently vibrates his chakra that's already present in the trees; they explode and eradicate anything and everything mid range from his opponent.
