Ravi pulls her out.
Kalin: ...
She stands up.
Ravi: Now let's go.
Kalin gave Ravi a sad, and depressed look.
Ravi: What's the matter?
Hollow Kalin: It's going to take a lot more than words.
Ravi(in his mind): What do you mean?
Hollow Kalin: At this point, she's caught in the middle of emotions, and if you want to get through to her. It's going to take something more than words.
Ravi(in his mind): Like what?
Holloe Kalin: I think you know, but don't want to admit it.
Ravi(in his mind): I don't have feelings for her but she is someone I have to protect.
Hollow Kalin: Talking to her isn't going to do much good...she's in defense mode.
Kalin walked back over to the river, and walked across the air above it to the other side.
Hollow Kalin: She's not going to go with you, and talking to her isn't going to do anything, so it looks like she'll just stay here...you proved Lenayia right, so she thinks she means nothing to the people around her. She sees herself as a good for nothing hybrid, and that nobody actually cares whether she lives or dies.
Ravi(in his mind): I care, because she does have a future. I can see it.
The trees begin to die out one by one very slowly.
Hollow Kalin: This is the same reason why she wanted to electrocute herself when you and her were talking in the Glade.
Kalin: Lenne's right...she's right.
A tree withers away.
Hollow Kalin: Kalin is in a lot of pain...and I know you know how much pain she's in because you were once in a situation quite like this long ago.
Ravi(in his mind): I don't like seeing people suffer the same way I have.
Hollow Kalin: She doesn't have a real family anymore...Nel is just being her "older sister" out of pity. At least you have your family, but what about her...?
Hollow Kalin's tone deepened in anger.
Hollow Kalin: What does she have? Just look at her and tell me what you actually see.
Ravi: In her eyes, I see her future, but outwardly, she has nothing.
Hollow Kalin: Me...I see a girl who is trying to reach out, but can't because the person she's trying to reach out to is practically ignoring her... He tells her that when she want to protect something, that's when she'll become strong, but she has nothing to protect except herself. Don't you get it? ...It's you who she's trying to reach out to, but look at what is happening.
Another tree withers away.
Ravi: You know, I am weaker than her inside. Why would that be, you would ask. The reason is, even my family could not make me stop crying or feel better at all. All these years, I have suffered far longer than she has.
Hollow Kalin: And you say that you don't want to see people suffer like you did...
Ravi(sighs): That's true. But why me? Why did she have to fall for me, when I wanted to be alone?
Hollow Kalin: Because she sees the connection.
Ravi: If she knew I wanted to be alone, then why did she keep going?
Hollow Kalin: Because she wanted both you and herself to feel better. She knows how much you hurt. She knows that you cry blood whenever you remember your past, and her...she still has nightmares about her father getting murdered by a Hollow. She's scared to fall asleep, because she knows that she will have that nightmare again and again.
Ravi: I haven't slept for the past 800 years.
Hollow Kalin: Don't tell me that...it's not me who's going to try and fry herself.
Kalin stood up, and walked over to the river.
Ravi: That day, my Inner Hollow awakened me to the horrors of despair. Ever since then, I could not sleep. I became a true insomniac. Everyday, my Inner Hollow forces me to relive the memories in my head. I wanted to die, but my Inner Hollow prevented that.
Hollow Kalin: Then don't put her through the same pain...
Ravi: I'm telling you, I'm not trying to.
Kalin charged up with lightning. She looked right at Ravi, and some tears fell as she raised her arms to shoulder height.
Hollow Kalin: She's doing it for you.
Kalin: Ravi... It doesn't matter if you like me, or hate me...my feelings for you will never change!
She smiled and began to slowly fall forwards, like she was in slow motion.
Hollow Kalin: And there she goes...poor girl.
Ravi stops her from falling in.
Kalin: Why do you keep saving me?
Ravi: Because... You are the only one besides Manah who understands me, you also are someone worth saving.
Kalin: ...Ravi.
Ravi: I know it's hard.
Kalin looked up at Ravi, and a tear fell. The trees that died sprouted as saplings.
Kalin: Ravi?
Ravi: Yes?
Kalin had a warm smile on her face.
Kalin: Thank you...
Ravi: Uh, you're welcome?
Kalin: Thank you for keeping me alive, and that you actually care whether I live or die...
Her voice was soft and loving.
Ravi: Wha?
Kalin: ...It doesn't really matter though because I have a fight to win.
Ravi: The story of two wolves that Grandmother talked about?
Kalin: No, I ended that battle already.
Hollow Kalin: Kalin, are you ready to come back?
Kalin: Yes.
Kalin looked at Ravi, and kissed his forehead, then walk back across the river.
Kalin: I know have someone to protect, so I will be strong.
Ravi got a light blush. Kalin turned around to face Ravi.
Kalin: Are you coming?
Ravi: Yeah, I'm coming.
Kalin(smiling): Okay.
They return back to the outer world. A Senkaimon opens in the air above them.
