Okay so rushed endings thanks to Shonen ofc but on another note, the forced state of the endings specifically. You can do rushed endings well, NGE, Futurama and Samurai Champloo are great examples of this. The main problem, whether you care for it or not is the endgame pairings. Not even for romantic reasons but because characters will suddenly be pushed into an underserved slot, ruining their character development.

The whole “married with kids” ending wouldn’t even be so bad if there was actual romantic development with the endgame couples. But coupling some popular ships, usually where only the woman expressed her love, and letting the fans make this cobweb of every moment that can pass as romantic is unfair. It’s not our job to pinpoint when they might’ve started falling in love. Show some flirting, a proposal, a kiss or something.

Notice which mangakas manage romantic, realistic endings well?

Definitely not Kishimoto or Kubo. That's for sure. Hiromu Arakawa (Mangaka of Fullmetal Alchemist, a series with sensible mature relationships without some Orihime princess sh*t or Gaiden melodrama.)

Male japanese population repressed yo.

They both failed because of the mandatory deadline.

I think that did Bleach in. Kubo seriously couldn't have planned the series to end that way based on the amount of untied or dropped plot points. I think Kishi did it on his own. If mandatory deadlines could seriously rush popular mangakas like Kishi. Togashi who makes the HxH series would've gotten the boot a long ass time ago :lol.

Are you a feminist?

Irrelevant. If a mangakas going to try do a romantic angle to their manga, they should do it right. That's why although I don't like Reborn! or One Piece much, they just leave the romantic angle out entirely to focus on the adventure.

Japan's sexual repression is just an interesting topic in general. It seeps through their manga sometimes.

Your tears are delicious.

on a somewhat unreletated note the FMA mangaka is really pretty
On a more related note. I think the fanbase of Bleach/Naruto overfocus on ships. They aren't that well developed anyway. Kishi/Kubo likely pair up characters at the endings to pump out new gen kids.

Togashi and his wife (sailor moon author) are making bank, they work on their own terms. naruto while popular wasn't even able to make it on the front cover of shonen jump for the last naruto chapter. lol, that tells you just how little control they have and kubo is proof of that.

I mean if they are not gonna give it their time during the story don't pull a Bleach/Nardo in the end, cause of course you're just sitting there like, "what in the world?" That wouldn't matter too much because to me that's just extra, but focus first in the story and it's end then focus in the love.

Pairings are ok, pairings made out of nowhere and/or just because of deadline is just sad, especially for say, die hard fans of either I guess. It's not even the pairings that where rushed. The fv of naruto kinda came out of nowhere, and bleach's fv spent how many chapters telling us how bad ass he was to be trolled by Aizen(which was awesome btw) and plot sliced by Ichigo, oh and make ishida relevant they through him in too, Imo at least

Agreed, it's strange how their audience demographic don't seem the type to flock to this stuff but I guess that comes with the popularity of a series. You don't really see shippings for...say, Punchline! or Jojo.

The big 3 mangakas are on the record as saying they find it hard to draw/write for female characters, so I always wonder why they go ahead and try so hard anyway. A large portion of Naruto is linked to an estranged love triangle and with so many moments like Sakura confessing to Naruto or the drama of Gaiden... even the whole character of Sakura and Hinata...doesn't match up.

I don't like that picture of Kishi, there are much more flattering ones you could post.
