Great chapter! Kisukes bankai is pretty OP being able to dissect and restructure things, I was hoping that it would be just Kisuke dealing the final blow though but 5/5 nonetheless!

I wasn't really surprised about Grimmjow's comeback at the end. Kubo had set it up for the next chapter, that being "666". Anyways, I'm not expecting Askin to be defeated so early into it. If anything, we need more clarification on Urahara's bankai and its abilities besides the big picture of it being able to reconstruct things. It would seem a bit convoluted if we were to get no further information than that. Secondly, Sklaverei could potentially be a counter for Askin's wound at the moment. This could be an opportunity for Kubo to showcase Grimmjow's growth in his capabilities as well as his "new" release.

With that being said, I understand how some felt underwhelmed by his bankai. When I first read this, my immediate thought was... "This is nothing like his shikai", and I sort of grumbled about it. In almost all instances, there's a similar theme from shikai to bankai. Maybe not exactly the same, but at least it's a theme. And then I started thinking about Urahara and who he is and how Kubo had portrayed him since the beginning of Bleach. For comparison, I thought of who Shunsui is. To me, this shikai and bankai combo is perfect for Urahara. It speaks to the layers of complexity about him. And much in the same, it does of Shunsui. If Zanpakuto's are reflections of someone's inner self and psyche, then the most complex characters should have the most complex range of Zanpakuto's. That was the only thing I could come up with for his unrelated shikai and bankai abilities.

Now, all we need is a panel on Nel's whereabouts.

5/5.

Adorable, how Urahara got Grimmjow to deal the final blow. At last, Grimmjow can have his revenge for...

No. Askin's allready immune to his reiatsu. This should be about as effective as throwing a pillow at him. Maybe if that was Nelliel.

This isn't really "early" anymore. Askin fought Grimmjow, Ichigo, Yoruichi and Kisuke. Yoruichi used Shunko, Kisuke used Bankai, Grimmjow used resurreccion and Askin vollständig. I think it's time to wrap this fight up. Don't forget that this is Bleach and that Kubo has a habit of not explaining powers. He often used them for one specific moment where they were absurdly suited for, so that this is the first and last time we will ever see Kisuke's bankai, is a strong possibility.

What I meant was that Urahara is barely two chapters into his bankai. We can't have Askin down already. Keeping up with the trend for Soul Society's battles lately, he'll have at least another chapter or two to show it off whilst covering all that backstory that Kubo had promised us before Askin can finally rest in pieces like his two other associates. Then we can move on to more interesting things while Urahara collapses from using up all his plot relevance. It's as you said, this is Kubo, the same man that we're talking about that could very well pull off another plot twist at this point and all of a sudden, we see Askin walking on his own two feet again unscathed. Thinking back on Lille, nobody dies just as easily anymore.

Besides, Askin had been the only interesting antagonist as a character for me. I wouldn't mind for this fight to drag on honestly. And nobody can get enough of Grimmjow. :skorm:

Hope he isn't. Allready pointed out how he could survive, and if he's dead that means the focus goes to Toshiro vs Gerard, and no one cares about them.
It's going to go to them eventually, better to get over with it. My biggest fear is Kubo thinking this is enough for Grimmjow.

And I don't get your explanation either.

How does Askin's power work? Grimmjow ripped his heart right out of his body and squashed it. Even if he is immune to Grimmjow's attacks, how would he be able to recover from his heart being squeezed outside of his body?

Same way he healed from severe 3rd degree burns, or getting his throat cut by Nimaya, he's clearly got a healing factor. If he has an immunity to Grimmjow, it shouldn't matter. Or he could just throw a Gift Ball at Kubo again, anythings possible.

Think of Hidan he could heal from everything pretty much as long as it didn't get detached from his body.

I don't understand how he would be able to "heal" from his heart being in Grimmjow's hand crushed. But obviously knowing Kubo nothing is guaranteed.
