I doubt that he truly died as it would be a bit anticlimactic on Kubo's part. He showed such a calm composure during his "death" despite literally going ballistic in the last few previous chapters which leads me to believe that he has a few more tricks up his own sleeve to show us before finally disappearing. More of a finale of sorts. Although, that "God Trumpet" technique felt like more of one. For Kubo, it's either letting things end as strange as they are, or concluding it with something we fans can feel to as an absolute end. Then again, I'm not so sure myself if I even want this fight to be continued anymore.

So, who's ready for some off-panelling with the other SRs?

I'm getting Barragan flashbacks. The arrogant villain claims to be an invincible god, gets his powers thrown back at him by the last person you would expect to take out a major Espada/Sternritter, dissolves, and keeps his God Complex going to the end. If only Nanao was as badass as Hachi.
