Terrible villains with dumbass powers.

It's actually true. SR are terrible development villains.

All of them (at least majority) fight and die only for Yhwach and not for their own sake.

Only a few of them got little development, but it's so poor. Not to mention that mostly of their abilities are uncreative and what we already saw earlier in the sereis. The only good thing about them is their character designs, nearly all (if not all) SR have good/badass/cool design. Their uniforms are also good.

Some interesting SR:
- Hashwalth (I would put him in this category, since his powers seems interesting for Quincy and he had yet to show us what he can do, I hope Kubo will not disappoin and will give him a lot more that just 'little development).
- Askin (same with Hashwalth, I hope he will not disappoint, Kubo had him appear so early in the war, but still didn't give us much about him.)
- Bambietta (she got some 'weird' development with her fetish, but at least she got something, I think it was horrible move from Kubo to kill her, so early, her Schrift "The Explode" use Reishi, which is basic for Quincy abilities, and yet we didn't see much of it, which also is '+' to her character.)
- As Nodt (I admit, I don't like this guy, but objective looking his desigh and power are great and creative. Horror guy from Hichok's fillms, with creepy design, creative powers, the only thing he lack is backstory. Oh, I just remember we got backstory, only two pages, how disappointing)
- Bazz-B (Great design, even though we already saw Fire in the series, it don't bother me so much. He don't seems like a guy who fight only for Yhwach, and seems like a Rabeel, I hope Kubo will not mess this.)
- Cang Du (Best character design for me among SR, again such a shame how Kubo threated him)
- Quilge Opie (So 'Hitler type' for me, I don't like it, but I think that's what make him interesting, he is also the only one who seems to fight like a real Quincy, using Reish and Bows.)

That's like 7 character out of 23, and mostly of them are just my hopes for them to be interesting and other are the character that are just 'semi interesting' since they didn't got much development. I just can imagine how much fans would As and Cang Du have if they got proper development.
Not to mention that Pepe and Gremmy was SRs, I expected much, but they disappoited me, so I wouldn't b e surprised if same be with Jugram, Bazz-B and Askin - I hope not.

The one more thing that they have and that weren't common to Espada are that they are very powerful and can rival Shinigami's strength, something that Espada couldn't, but again Espada got development, and all of them had some of their own reasons to fight.

The whole controlling thing though with Pepe is horribly similar to GiGi. And I put good money on Pepe haunting Byakuya with visions if Hisana and maybe his parents.

One thing that makes me laugh about Kubo is he gives Mayuri the ability to bring the dead back to life and instead of resurrecting Gin and Stark and Ulquiorra and maybe even Tosen where people would be going OMG, OMG, OMG he resurrects three obscure Arrancar where everyone's reaction is just "who the hell are they?" *shakes head*

Yeah, this is such a FAIL. But whose to say those guys aren't being saved for bigger fish? That's what I've been thinking the whole time. Let's say some key captains go down or even "die'... insert Gin, Stark, Ulquoirra... or maybe those three just make a last second save!!!

colonel sanders lmaoooooo i agree this chapter was absolutely terrible and that pepe guy wtd love that is so creepy and weird... Byakuya has always been my favorite gotei well him and the flower guy but hopefully we get to see this new power....and i pray they get rid of pepe the first page of the next chapter
