BEYOND EPIC! it basically has 3-4 powers.. It extends, its a blade, it has an extendble arm with power, it burns you, it electrocutes you

Simple chapter really. Not much progression. I like renji's new bankai but I would have liked a tad bit more content. But then again its a war and there is generally more action in wars.

It was about time renji stopped being useless and got some awesome power up. His new bankai seems great. It has many abilities and powers that helps a lot in battle. He easily took down that annoying super star.

Now we have to see what rukia can do. Besides, if renji got so powerful, what will happen to someone like byakuya? Damn it, how powerful will ichigo be? Can't wait for ichigo's return and his battle with ishida.

I dont like the Renji's real bankai, the older one looked way better. He does get some new fancy moves and now his bankai is at least able to be on par with the other bankais, but I need some time to get used to this one.

I would give the chapter a 3/5 due to the following reasons:
- interesting plot twist with Renji's bankia
- fairly boring chapter aside from
- interesting power increase and leave the question of how powerful is Ichigo's new bankia

I suppose I'm glad the mask has been defeated however that was a boring fight...sorry and all but personally I preferred Renji's old Bankai.

I'll basically sum up this fight.

Renji: Bankai
Mask: VILLAIN!
Renji defeats mask.

And like I expected were going to find out what happened in the royal realm through flashbacks...

Anyway 2 possibly 3 out of 5 for this chapter but then again I really can't find myself enjoying Renji's fights.
